The Lakers and Celtics get the NBA Finals started in Boston on Thursday night. Here's a head-to-head rundown of each team's records and against-the-spread results through the playoffs so far.

In those 20 games Boston was 12-8 SU, but only 8-12 ATS. The Lakers have taken to the court 15 times in the postseason so far and have posted a 12-3 record SU and a 10-4-1 ATS mark.

Both the Lakers and the Celtics have had a lot more success at home than on the road in the playoffs. In the first two rounds the Celtics did not win a single game away from TD BankNorth Garden, and the result was a 2-7 SU road record. Boston was also 2-7 ATS on the road.

Back home the Celtics were almost unbeatable with a 10-1 SU record, but they still failed to get it done for bettors with a 6-5 ATS record.

The Lakers actually were unbeatable at home in the Staples Center with an 8-0 SU record. Unlike the Celtics, Los Angeles was also kind to bettors on their home court with a 6-2 record ATS. On the road the Lakers barely got over the .500 mark with a 4-3 SU mark, while they went 4-2-1 ATS.
