2023 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup – Snowshoe Edition 🚵♀️

Hold onto your handlebars! The world of mountain biking is revving up for the 2023 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, and it’s happening in Pocahontas County from September 27 to October 1, 2023. Brace yourselves for downhill, cross country, cycling news, and short track action for the best mountain bikes, that’ll leave you breathless!
What’s in Store?
This year, there’s a brand-new twist – the Cross Country Marathon World Cup on Wednesday, September 27, at Snowshoe Mountain. The trail’s a whopping 62-mile adventure through the rugged Allegheny Mountains, open to both pros and amateurs.
But that’s not all: downhill racing has a new format for even more excitement. There are track walks, practice, and thrilling races lined up from Wednesday to Saturday.
Cross Country Short Track races will light up Thursday and Friday nights, while the Cross Country Olympic race hits Skidder slope on Sunday.
Here’s the cycling schedule for this 3-day DHI event:
- Wednesday: Track walk and Junior Practice
- Thursday: All Practice and Junior Qualifying
- Friday: All practice, Junior Finals, and Elite Qualifying
- Saturday: Elite Practice, Elite Semi-Finals, and Elite finals
Race-Ready for the Wild and Untamed!
2023 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup at Snowshoe’s terrain is wild and untamed, just like every participating mountain bike racer. So many rocky, rooty, slippery, and steep challenges! If you do come to spectate, don’t forget your trusty hiking boots and trekking poles for a smoother journey.
