NASCAR Microbetting Options Coming Soon
NASCAR Partner nVenue Teams With Amelco Sportsbooks
The names nVenue and Amelco probably aren’t familiar to even the most passionate sports betting fan. The two will soon be offering various betting opportunities on select NASCAR races.
Amelco powers several of the popular sportsbooks, with Fanatics and Hard Rock Bet being two of them.
nVenue and Amelco are teaming up to offer racing fans NASCAR microbetting options, which is another way of saying there will be plenty of live betting opportunities.
Traditional NASCAR odds are focused on the eventual winner of the race. NASCAR microbetting options will include, “stage results, qualifying, pit-road betting opportunities and more,” according to NASCAR. “nVenue will leverage official live racetrack data along with historical race data points to generate predictions and odds for each race and driver. These newly developed betting opportunities present thousands of additional ways for fans to engage throughout a single race.”
The timing is certainly right. All of motorsports is undergoing a huge wave of fan interest, ranging from NASCAR and Formula 1 to sportscar racing and everything in between.
NASCAR announced a 50% increase in betting handle for the first two months of the year, so the interest is there.
With the new NASCAR microbetting options, the betting opportunities will also be there.
nVenue and NASCAR signed an agreement last year with nVenue named an official microbetting data and technology provider. The length of the partnership wasn’t announced, just that it was a multiyear deal.
“This collaboration epitomizes a shared vision to entertain fans and enhance the race viewing experience,” said Joe Solosky, NASCAR managing director of sports betting at the time. “We are thrilled to pair our racing product with expert technology like nVenue’s to bring microbetting to NASCAR fans going forward.”
Several Questions Remain Going Forward
The time frame for microbetting to be in place is still unclear. nVenue said it will take several months, but didn’t elaborate much more than that.
The Brickyard 400 is one race on the NASCAR schedule that makes a good target. Scheduled for July 21, it’s a race with bigger-than-average interest.
Which sportsbooks will offer the wagers is also unclear, but it makes sense for Fanatics and Hard Rock Bet. Adding others would be good for business if it can be done.
Amelco and nVenue seem confident in each other’s abilities moving forward.
“We are thrilled to team up with Amelco to introduce micro-betting options for NASCAR,” said nVenue CRO Jeremy Jones. “With their platform and reach, we are confident that we will deliver an unmatched betting experience for racing fans. We look forward to working closely with Amelco to integrate our markets and expand our offerings to include other new sports on our dynamic roadmap.”
“We’re looking forward to working with the nVenue team and offering their NASCAR product to our operators,” Brandon Walker of Amelco US said. “With micro-markets proving to be a huge success in the space already we’re excited to see how these markets perform.”
NASCAR bettors will soon have thousands of wagering opportunities each race. No longer will the final NASCAR results determine the outcome of a wager.
Bets will be decided all throughout the race, giving bettors more opportunities to cash in.
