Milwaukee Brewers Stats & Team History
The Milwaukee Brewers were founded in 1969, initially as the Seattle Pilots, just for one season. The team relocated to Milwaukee in 1970, changing to the Brewers. In 1998, the Brewers switched from the American League to the National League and were one of two teams to play in four different divisions. The Brewers team stats in the American League saw them go to two playoffs in back-to-back years, making it to the World Series and losing in 1982. The Brewers are one of six MLB teams to never win a World Series.
The Milwaukee Brewers team stats still suffered in the National League, not making the playoffs until 2008. They won their first division title in 2011, making it to the National League Championship Series. Robin Yount is a key player in Brewers history, winning two MVPs as a lifelong Brewer.
