San Diego Padres Stats & Team History

The San Diego Padres were established in 1969, playing their first season in the MLB in that same year. In the team’s first season, they only managed to win 52 games and did not have a winning record until 1978. The team won its first division title in 1984, which brought them to the World Series, in which they lost.
