St. Louis Cardinals Stats & Team History
The St. Louis Cardinals are one of the most successful franchises in MLB history, established in 1882 and initially going under the St. Louis Brown Stockings. The team was one of the founding members of the American Association, but they changed the team’s name to the St. Louis Browns in 1883.
In 1900, the team switched allegiances, joining the National League part of the MLB and changing the team’s name to the Cardinals. Since then, the Cardinals team stats have been historical, leading the National League in World Series wins with 11, appearing in 19, third-most out of any MLB team.
In the century of being part of the MLB, the Cardinals have constantly been one of the best teams.
