Boxing Betting – Lopez vs Campa Odds: Pointing Towards Favorite

All Eyes on Former Champion

Lopez vs Campa odds has the American fighter at skinny odds to get back to winning form against Pedro Campa.

Teofimo Lopez fought courageously when losing his titles to George Kambosos Jr, especially after he had a major medical event during the fight, unbeknownst to him.

Betting boxing odds have Lopez at -2500 to win, so he’s expected to score a comfortable win against an inferior opponent.

Lopez Eyeing Titles

It’s never easy on the ego to go from a three-belt title fight to a four-star fight against Campa, but Lopez knows it’s a stepping stone to the bright lights.

He knows what the Lopez vs Campa odds are saying. He should win before the final bell and he’ll be confident of ending the fight early.

Having not fought since November isn’t a worry as he needed time to get over his injury. He’s excited to show fans in Las Vegas what he can do.

“The Takeover is back! I took over the lightweight division, and I plan on doing the same at junior welterweight. Pedro Campa is a tough opponent with an aggressive Mexican style, and I can’t wait to put on a show for the fans,” Lopez said.

“Every person goes through challenges, but I’ve put the past behind me and am thrilled to be back fighting on ESPN and in Las Vegas. I am calling this fight the ‘Take Back’ because I am coming to regain what I’ve lost. One defeat does not define a fighter, and it won’t define me.”

Most boxing bets should have Lopez on the ticket, but -2500 odds are tough to snap up. It’s about as short as it gets but Lopez is a world-class fighter and it would be a shock if Campa was to win.

Campa Facing Stiff Test

There aren’t many boxing fans who expect Campa to stick with Lopez. It’s demonstrated in Lopez vs Campa odds and the +900 underdog does well to go the distance.

The Mexican 30-year-old is 34-1-1 with 23 wins by knockout, including his last two fights against Abimael Bautista and Carlos Valadez.

He hasn’t fought anyone of note, and although we love that he’s having a go, it could have a negative impact on his career.

Tim Bradley believes Campa will come forward but inevitably lose by knockout.

“I’m expecting Campa; he’s a come-forward fighter and kind of a counter puncher at times. I’m expecting this young man [Teofimo] to get rid of him at 140 lbs, knock him out,” said Bradley.

A concern of Campa is his loss against Carlos Jimenez in 2017. Jimenez is an 11-8 fighter, so it was a bad loss. If Campa has a similar result, it could result in a short night for the one-loss fighter.

Lopez vs Campa odds are likely to firm in favor of Lopez, so the -2500 could firm to around -2700 come fight time. Exotic betting markets have Lopez at better odds to win by knockout, which is one of our best boxing bets this week.
