Sunny Edwards vs Andres Campos Odds: Champ to Prevail

IBF World Flyweight Title Fight

Sunny Edwards vs Andres Campos odds expect a one-sided fight for the IBF World Flyweight title on Saturday.

Edwards and Campos are unbeaten, but boxing odds have Edwards as the raging hot -2000 favorite to prevail.

Neither fighter has shown an ability to win by knockout, so going the distance has always been well-favored to cash.

Edwards Marches On

Edwards is 19-0 following a decision win over Felix Alvarado, and although it was a close contest, it was another defense of his IBF title.

Ranked second in the world, Edwards goes from a five-star fight to a three-star, which is why he’s the dominating favorite with Sunny Edwards vs Andres Campos odds.

He should see this as an easier fight, and although Campos is unbeaten, he hasn’t fought the same level of opposition.

The 27-year-old Brit also gets the benefit of fighting in front of his home crowd, which could be enough to see his hand raised, according to the latest boxing news.

“I’m at the stage now where I genuinely think I’m the best in the world at flyweight probably at super-flyweight and maybe even at bantamweight as well. Genuinely right now I feel like I could do any three of those weights against anyone in them,” Edwards said.

“The only thing that’s stalling me right now is wanting to do it the right way. I’ve got the IBF, I want to clear up the WBC, WBO, WBA, The Ring at flyweight and do it all over again at super-flyweight and do it all over again at bantamweight. I don’t think there’s anyone around right now that would stop me.”

It’s not easy to take -2000 for Edwards to win, and we don’t think he’ll win by knockout. Therefore, he should be used in boxing parlays to boost payouts.

Campos Thrown in Deep End

Take nothing away from the Chilean and his 15-0 record, but as Sunny Edwards vs Andres Campos odds suggest, he is outclassed at +850.

The 26-year-old is ranked 52nd in the world after beating a 22-12 fighter by fourth-round knockout. It was a good performance, but he has fought outside of Chile only twice, and it’s his first time in the UK.

He’s not giving much respect to Edwards, but we think he’ll live to regret his words.

“Sunny Edwards has never fought against anyone like me,” Campos said. “I am by far the best opponent that he will have faced. I have lots of experience fighting against and defeating undefeated guys from both the amateurs and pros. I am starving for success.”

It has been a while since Edwards fought someone without any top level experience, so Campos is just trying to talk up the fight.

The reality is that he’s not on the same level, and he’ll likely lose on points in a one-sided fight.

Bookmakers have the over/under total at 10.5, and over is -900. It’s expected to go the distance, and with only four wins by knockout, we can’t imagine Campos being the one to deliver a knockout blow.
