It’s a classic fight between unbeaten fighters, and it headlines boxing this weekend.

Alimkhanuly With KO Power

The best thing about Alimkhanuly is his knockout power, which includes 10 wins by knockout from 15 fights.

The Kazakhstan fighter scored a TKO win over Vincenzo Gualtieri last October, which followed an impressive knockout win over Steven Butler, and that’s an excellent form guide.

He’s the champion for a reason, and that’s why boxing betting markets have him at such short odds.

There isn’t much value with the -1800 price, but he’s at better odds to win by knockout, and that’s where bettors find value.

This isn’t a fight he wanted. He wanted to fight Erislandy Lara, who holds the WBA title.

“Lara has the WBA title. Question? Why isn’t he interested in two more titles? I can fight him anywhere,” Alimkhanuly said. “Why aren’t middleweights chasing the title like me? What’s the point of holding one title? I don’t understand? I need two more titles!”

Fighting New Zealand-Russian boxer Mikhailovich won’t be easy. He’s unbeaten, but he hasn’t faced the same level of opposition as the betting favorite.

Alimkhanuly vs Mikhailovich odds expect it to be one-way traffic. The odds of -1800 is about as short as it gets for a title fight, and -600 for Alimkhanuly to win by knockout will be the most popular option.

Kiwi Power with Big Underdog

Mikhailovich might be Russian born, but the Aucklander looks to continue the good run of New Zealand boxers.

Following in the footsteps for former world champion Joseph Parker, Mikhailovich deserves his shot at the title, but he will need to produce a career-best performance.

The 26-year-old has been busy throughout his career, and his boxing results have been good against much easier fighters.

He’s 21-0 with 13 wins by knockout, which has earned him a top-25 ranking. However, as we see with many title challengers, he hasn’t faced anyone of note.

That’s the obvious concern for bettors intrigued by the +800 odds, and he’s severely outclassed by the champion.

“He’s human, he’s a man with two arms and two legs,” Mikhailovich said. “He’s a good boxer, but I’m a good boxer too.

“I just know who I am and what I’m about. I’ve come from nothing and I’m going to the top. That gives me a lot of confidence. I’ve done a lot with my life. I’m proud of who I am.”

We like seeing boxers put their unbeaten records on the line, as they should with two world titles on the line.

He comes off a first round knockout win against a 39-17 fighter, but prior to that he defeated 16-0 Edisson Saltarin in Auckland.

A lack of big fights will count against him. This fight is in Las Vegas, and the bright lights of Vegas are a lot different than what he’s faced.

He has a punchers chance, but Alimkhanuly vs Mikhailovich odds are accurate.

Champion to Score Big Knockout

Taking -600 isn’t easy for Alimkhanuly bettors, but he should score a big knockout win.

The two-belt champion has been in devastating form throughout his career, and it’s hard to see him being beaten on Saturday.

He’s used to fighting in Las Vegas, and he has much bigger fights on the horizon, so he should put away the Kiwi contender with ease.

There is also good value with exotic betting markets, including Alimkhanuly to win in Round 4. He might need a couple of rounds to find his feet, but he shouldn’t take long to score the knockout.

Bettors get value odds of +750, and although round betting is tough to predict, the odds make it worth the risk.

Betting on him to win in Round 5 is also +700, so bettors can take a couple of options as a saver bet.
