Unstoppable Inoue Heavy Favorite vs Nery
Inoue vs Nery Boxing Odds

Japanese and boxing superstar Naoya Inoue looks to defend his four bantamweight titles at the Tokyo Dome on Monday.
The 26-0 fighter is a -2000 hope with Inoue vs Nery Boxing odds, which isn’t a surprise given his record.
Can Nery cause a big upset at +850? Or is Inoue going to roll through another opponent like he always does?
Pound-for-Pound the Greatest?
There is a case to be made that Inoue is the greatest pound-for-pound boxer on the planet.
The 31-year-old owns 23 knockouts from his 26 wins, which is an incredible statistic. His most recent KO win came last year when ending Marlon Tapales in the 10th round.
He has been on a tear, stopping seven consecutive opponents in a row, and he hasn’t been fighting easy opponents. He defeated the likes of Nonito Donaire and Stephen Fulton, so there is no fighter in the division capable of beating him.
Our boxing odds calculator priced Inoue around -4000, so getting -2000 is a value price, despite the short odds. He has the significant class advantage, and fighting in front of his home fans makes it harder for Nery.
However, fellow boxer Jason Maloney believes Nery won’t die wondering.
“I think it is an awesome fight,” Moloney said. “It’s a very exciting fight because of what Nery brings to the table. He’s not the sort of fighter that will go in there to try and survive. He’s someone who is definitely going to try and win the fight.”
Nery could come out aggressively, but that could work against him. Inoue is the king of finding the right punch at the right time, so if Nery isn’t careful, he could be on the canvas in the opening rounds.
Inoue’s boxing schedule has been packed with huge fights and he won’t see Nery as anyone harder than he’s already beaten.
KO Artist Seeks Upset
Nery is considered a threat because he owns 27 knockout wins from 36 fights.
He’s a dangerous fighter who comes out swinging, so he could catch Inoue with a swinging right hand.
Inoue vs Nery boxing odds aren’t giving him much chance of winning at +850, but he could have been longer with boxing betting markets.
In terms of events, it doesn’t get any bigger for Nery. He fought for the WBC and WBA titles in 2021 when losing to Brandon Figueroa with a seventh round knockout, so he didn’t make the most of his opportunities.
He comes off a second round knockout of Froilan Saludar, who had six losses on his record, so it’s not the best form guide.
However, he wore down Azat Hovhannisyan to win by knockout last year, and a repeat of that effort could see him apply pressure to Inoue.
“I’ve been wanting to fight him for about three years now,” Nery said. “Fortunately, the opportunity has come, and we are taking it seriously. He is an elite fighter. He’s among the best fighters. He is fast. He is strong. But he has weaknesses, and he does take some punches.
Having knockout power always makes you a threat. Inoue will need to be careful not to get clipped in the early rounds, but when it comes to pure boxing talent, Nery is a level below the current favorite.
Inoue to End Fight Early
We’re predicting Inoue to win by TKO or KO. He has 12 rounds to wear down Nery, who could be in for a long night.
Inoue vs Nery boxing odds have Inoue by KO or TKO at -500, and that’s a better price than the -2000 for him to win outright.
Considering the total rounds line is set at 6.5, the sportsbook expects a quick fight as well. That line is a touch low for our liking, and we think Inoue could get Nery out of the ring around round seven or eight.
Inoue to win in Round 7 pays +750, and although it’s not easy to predict, the odds make it worth the risk.
Bettors can also bet on over 6.5 rounds to pay -120 or over 7.5 rounds and get +120. Those selections are worth including in your boxing picks for the big fight in Japan.
