Bundesliga Matchday 24 Odds: Bundesliga Title
Dortmund Streak Continues

Bayern and Dortmund Vying for Bundesliga Title
With just over ten matches to play, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are level on 49 points in the Bundesliga table. Ten-time defending champions Bayern are facing their toughest title challenge for quite some time. Dortmund are on fire, with ten wins from ten matches in 2023, in all competitions. We’ll take a look at both teams’ matches this weekend as we preview the Bundesliga Matchday 24 odds.
Top-Four Matches
RB Leipzig vs Borussia Monchengladbach
Date & Time:
RB Leipzig put up a fight at Dortmund last Friday but lost 2-1. They’re currently in fourth place in the Bundesliga standings, beating out SC Freiburg on goal difference. Now, Leipzig host Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday before taking on Manchester City in the Champions League. Monchengladbach have been quite inconsistent lately and that certainly comes through in the odds. Leipzig are 1½-goal favorites at +115 odds to cover and -235 odds to win the match.
The last time these two teams met, Borussia Monchengladbach managed a shocking 3-0 victory. However, Leipzig have never lost to Gladbach at home. What’s concerning for Leipzig is that Christopher Nkunku left the Dortmund match early due to injury. He just recently returned from a long-term issue and Leipzig need their leading scorer healthy to challenge in the Bundesliga and UCL. With RB Leipzig’s Xaver Schlager, Dani Olmo and potentially Nkunku out, Borussia Monchengladbach +1½ comes in at -135 odds. The visitors also display +600 odds to get a first-ever road win at Leipzig.
Recent meetings between these teams have been high-scoring affairs. Each of the last four meetings have finished with three or more goals. For Saturday’s match, over three goals display -115 odds. Gladbach left back Remy Bensebaini is out due to suspension while first string keeper Jonas Omlin is day-to-day with a thigh injury. With these players out, Borussia Monchengladbach and RB Leipzig show +400 odds to draw the match.
Goals from Matthijs de Ligt and Eric-Maxim Choupo Moting sealed a 2-1 Bayern Munich victory over Stuttgart on Saturday. While it’s incredibly unlikely any team will catch Bayern on goal difference, they still need to pick up three points vs. Augsburg. In this Bavarian derby, Augsburg have actually won two of the last four meetings. However, they haven’t won at the Allianz Arena since 2015. For this match, Bayern are massive 2½-goal favorites and come in at -110 Bundesliga Matchday 24 odds to cover.
Bayern, who take on PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday, are also -650 moneyline favorites. Most recently, Bayern defeated Augsburg 5-2 on the road in the DFB-Pokal round of 32. Bayern also recently got Sadio Mane back from long-term injury and he could play a role on Saturday. In their last five Bundesliga matches, Bayern Munich have scored at least twice and over four goals display -115 odds here. While over/under four may seem like an astronomical total, over four is 8-3-12 in Bayern matches this season.
Meanwhile, Augsburg have won three of their last five Bundesliga matches. They managed a 2-1 win over Werder Bremen on Matchday 23 but have just three road wins this season. The visitors also sit at -110 odds to cover the 2½ goal spread and are +1300 moneyline underdogs. A draw also appears quite unlikely, at +850 odds. Augsburg midfielder Elvis Rexhbecaj is out and defender Felix Uduokhai is day-to-day.
Schalke 04 are doing their very best to avoid relegation. After spending a long portion of the season in last place, they’ve gone unbeaten in their last six matches and won their last two. Last weekend, Schalke kept their fifth shutout in their last six games and defeated VfL Bochum 2-0. Marius Butler has scored in each of Schalke’s last two matches. While they’re still joint-last on points, Schalke can escape the relegation zone with a win over Borussia Dortmund in the Revierderby on Saturday. Unfortunately for Schalke, Dortmund have been the league’s best team over the last month and a half. In fact, these two teams have the Bundesliga’s longest active unbeaten runs.
Chelsea ended Borussia Dortmund’s ten-game winning streak on Tuesday as the Blues got a 2-0 win. Graham Potter’s side eliminated Dortmund from the UCL and advanced to the quarterfinals. Dortmund now enter Saturday’s match as one-goal favorites and show even odds to cover and -160 odds to bounce back and win. Over their last five Bundesliga matches Borussia Dortmund have outscored their opponents 14-3. They’ve also compiled the league’s second-best away record, at 7-5. A first road draw for Dortmund this season displays +330 odds and it’d be a disappointing result for the title contenders. Marco Reus and Julian Brandt have stepped up lately and should continue to be key players for Edin Terzic.
Schalke come in at just +405 odds to end Dortmund’s seven-game Bundesliga winning streak. The hosts also sit at -120 odds to cover the one-goal spread. Just one of Schalke’s last six matches have finished with three or more goals and under three shows -125 odds here. Schalke defenders Thomas Ouwejan and and Jere Uronen will hope to return in time for this match. Meanwhile, Julian Brandt came off after barely five minutes vs. Chelsea and is a doubt for Saturday’s match. Karim Adeyemi is out and fellow forward Youssoufa Moukoko is day-to-day.
Union Berlin haven’t won any of their last three Bundesliga matches but they’re still sitting in third place. On Sunday, they’ve got Wolfsburg on their German Bundesliga schedule. Wolfsburg have won just one of their last six in the league but still sit in a respectable eighth place. Union’s attention will first turn to a Europa League round of 16 matchup vs. Union Saint-Gilloise on Thursday. With a rest advantage, Wolfsburg will look for their first home win since January.
Despite their poor recent form, Wolfsburg are ½-goal favorites heading into Sunday’s match. They are +130 ATS and moneyline favorites and managed to draw 2-2 last weekend vs. a good Eintracht Frankfurt side. In fact, Wolfsburg have scored twice in three of their last five games. However, Union have conceded more than one goal in just one match since the Bundesliga restarted in January. Over two goals do come in at -140 odds for the match, though. Union come in at -150 odds to cover and get a win or draw and they’ve won each of the last two meetings.
Most recently, Union Berlin defeated Wolfsburg 2-1 in the DFB-Pokal round of 16 in January. Robin Knoche and Kevin Behrens found the net to complete a Union comeback. The visitors show +240 odds to get a third straight win over Wolfsburg. Draws have also been rare in this fixture lately but bettors can find one at +220 odds. Key Wolfsburg midfielder Max Arnold is suspended for Sunday’s match.
Around the Bundesliga
Only Borussia Dortmund have picked up more points than Mainz over the last five matches. On the back of a four-game winning streak, Mainz have climbed to seventh place in the Bundesliga table. They head on the road to Hertha Berlin on Sunday, who they drew 1-1 with earlier in the season. In this pick’em, Mainz sit at -135 odds to cover and +140 odds to win a fifth straight.
Hoffenheim have been horrendous over the last month-plus. They’ve dropped their last seven matches, in all competitions, and now occupy the relegation playoff spot. Fifth-placed SC Freiburg will look to add to Hoffenheim’s misery when they meet Sunday. Following a match with Juventus in the Europa League round of 16, Freiburg are -105 favorites.
Along with Hoffenheim, Bochum and Schalke, Stuttgart are on 19 points but sit just above the relegation zone on goal difference. Randal Kolo Muani and Eintracht Frankfurt host Stuttgart this weekend and the hosts are -115 favorites according to the Bundesliga Matchday 24 odds.
