DFB-Pokal Semi-Finals Odds, Preview
Rematch of Last Year’s Final

Leipzig and Stuttgart Favored to Advance
Last season’s DFB-Pokal final ended with a nine-man RB Leipzig defeating SC Freiburg on penalties. The monumental win marked Leipzig’s first-ever major trophy.
Now, fans will be treated to a rematch on Tuesday in this year’s Semi-Finals. The top-four hopefuls will also meet four days later in a crucial Bundesliga clash.
Stuttgart will also host Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday with both sides vying for a place in June’s final. We’ll review the major DFB-Pokal Semi-Finals odds in this week’s preview.
Semi-Finals Fixtures:
SC Freiburg vs RB Leipzig
Winners of three straight in the Bundesliga, SC Freiburg are on a roll heading into this Semi-Final fixture. They’ve proven to be a good pick for betting on DFB-Pokal over the last few seasons as they’re one win away from another final appearance.
Freiburg also knocked out Bayern Munich in the Quarter-Final and have proven they can hang with nearly any team. While Freiburg have only faced one Bundesliga side in the DFB-Pokal so far, RB Leipzig have defeated two. In the round of 16, Leipzig downed Hoffenheim 3-1 and they also beat Dortmund 2-0 in the Quarter-Final.
In this matchup between two battle-tested sides, the DFB-Pokal Semi-Finals odds price visitors Leipzig as favorites.
Bouncing back from a loss at Leverkusen a couple of weekends ago, Leipzig picked up a 1-0 Bundesliga win vs. Hoffenheim heading into this match.
Christopher Nkunku scored the game’s only goal and Leipzig’s talisman is fully fit, in what has been an injury-plagued season. Plus, striker Timo Werner is joint-leader in goals in the DFB-Pokal, with five.
As 0.5-goal favorites, Leipzig display -105 odds to cover and win the match. They are unbeaten in their last seven games vs. Freiburg, after all.
In addition to last season’s penalty victory, Leipzig got a 3-1 win in the Bundesliga over Freiburg in November. Freiburg do sit at -125 odds to cover and have held Leipzig to a draw in three of the last four meetings.
Another 90-minute draw shows +240 odds for this one while Freiburg come in at +240 odds to get their first win over Leipzig since 2019. Both teams are nearly at full strength for what should be an excellent match. Goalkeeper Mark Flekken and striker Vincenzo Grifo are two players to watch for Freiburg.
Grifo has scored 13 Bundesliga goals in 2022-23, while Flekken has kept the most clean sheets. With that in mind, under 2.5 goals are priced at -125 odds.
Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt
The other Semi-Final match on the DFB-Pokal schedule is Stuttgart vs. Eintracht Frankfurt. Stuttgart are in relegation danger in the Bundesliga but that doesn’t mean they can’t secure cup glory this season.
Stuttgart are in 15th place, just one point ahead of 17th-placed Schalke. Unbeaten in their last five matches, in all competitions, Stuttgart did manage to get an important 2-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday.
Notably, their match with Frankfurt marks the first time they’re taking on a Bundesliga side in the DFB-Pokal this season.
Frankfurt have taken a slightly more difficult path to the Semi-Finals. They managed to shut out Union Berlin, 2-0, in the quarters.
Randal Kolo Muani scored in both the 11th and 12th minutes and he’s been excellent this season. The French international leads both the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal in goal contributions. Unfortunately, he is in danger of missing this match with a groin injury.
He was out for Frankfurt’s recent 1-1 draw vs. Augsburg. A handful of Eintracht Frankfurt players are carrying injuries, including Evan N’Dicka, Philipp Max and Kristijan Jakic.
Perhaps it’s not too big of a surprise that the DFB-Pokal Semi-Finals odds list Stuttgart as home favorites then. In this pick’em, Stuttgart come in at -130 ATS odds and Eintracht show even odds to cover.
Frankfurt’s only win in their last 13 matches came in the Quarter-final and they’re +180 moneyline underdogs here. Stuttgart leading scorer Sehrou Guirassy suffered an eye injury over the weekend but he should be good to go.
Stuttgart are +145 favorites while a draw displays +235 odds here. Both teams have scored in the last six meetings but under 2.5 goals come in at -120 odds.
