In Our Book: The Fashion Podium Three
🥇 GOLD: Mongolia, Hands Down
Mongolia’s Olympic attire is a complete show-stopper. There’s nothing but praise for their robes designed by Michel & Amazonka. The outfits, decorated with traditional patterns and Olympic symbols, are pure fashion gold. They are inspired by traditional Mongolian deels, which are asymmetrical, caftan-like robes and billowing sleeves. One user said, “These are warrior fits, and they go hard,” of the impossibly-balanced blend of fashion-sense, functionality, and tradition.
🥈 SILVER: Canada’s Cool Threads Just Might
Team Canada’s cool, sporty outfits by Lululemon are a real hit. Their sweat-wicking bomber jackets and shorts are spot-on for the summer heat, featuring designs inspired by Canada’s nature and architecture. Both stylish and functional, the outfits are a hefty win-win.
🥉 Haiti Lunges for the Bronze Among Many Others
Haiti’s uniforms, crafted by Stella Jean, feature the artwork of Philippe Dodard. These are great designs that mix tradition with a modern twist in the form of standout skirts and elegant blazers. Made the fans wonder if they were actually going to do any real sports.

Pretty Good Finalists To Watch Out For
Czech Republic:
Their uniforms, designed by Alpine Pro, might be a surprise hit. Who knows. The blend of trench coat and casual sportswear is getting mixed reviews, but at least it’s certainly memorable. “Finally, athletes will not look like they bought their clothes on sale,” noted one fan. Which is a nice plus, although not totally Paris 2024 Olympics Best Uniforms material.
France:
French brand Berluti designed sleek suits for the men and a controversial sleeveless jacket for the women. Some say they look like flight attendants with cutoffs, but in the heat of summer, staying cool might be the way to go.
Malaysia:
There was a lot of initial backlash for the Malaysian uniform kit, definitely bumping them out from the Paris 2024 Olympics Best Uniforms spiel, but then Malaysia revamped their uniforms with a fiercer Malayan tiger look and made the cut. The redesign seems to have won the critics over, so this could definitely turn into a comeback story.
Our Own, Disqualified
United States:
Ralph Lauren’s designs for Team USA really missed the fashion mark, with outfits likened to prep school uniforms. Hey, they might be comfy, but, as one user joked, “It’s giving yeehaw mixed with flight attendant.” The retro look didn’t score well with the online crowd; still, other pieces of the uniform kit were not that bad.
Seems Like They Didn’t Quite Go the Extra Mile
Singapore:
By sticking to their traditional red jackets and beige trousers, Team Singapore’s uniforms reeked of classic but stale. “It’s time for an update” suggested one commenter. The athletes will try to lessen the fashion blow with ties and scarves, hoping to hide the staleness by accessorizing (although that usually works better with THE simple black dress, not with MC vibes.)
Want a peek at the fashion action? It will be streamed on July 27 for you to check out and make your own mind up on who will take the gold home or who will go down blazing in fashion no-nos and defeat. Stay tuned at the PointSpreads Olympic betting news front for more on more!
Costa Rica
For the first time in their history, a special uniform has been designed for Costa Rica’s Olympic team. This uniform by renowned brand Everlast marks a significant milestone as it is the first custom-made attire for Costa Rican Olympians.
Inspired by the country’s rich biodiversity, the design features national symbols like the sloth, white-tailed deer, and the “guaria morada” (a purple orchid also called the Easter orchid or Guarianthe skinneri), highlighting Costa Rica’s natural treasures at the world’s biggest sporting event.
Everlast, a brand synonymous with champions, created these uniforms. The collection includes advanced technologies like EverCool™ for ventilation and honeycomb insoles for fit and impact absorption. Not an overwhelming fashion statement, but a first for Costa Rica!
