Will Wolverhampton Get Revenge, or Is This Another Win for Arsenal?

Getting in Top Four

The race for a top-four finish in the English Premier League is becoming more exciting with this Arsenal vs Wolves game. With the top two teams solidifying their spots every week, there are only two spots left from the remaining teams to vie for, and neither Arsenal nor Wolves are backing down.

With Arsenal four points and Wolverhampton six points off fourth place and 13+ games to go, every game counts. As a result, this game is perfect for either team to seal their place in the race for the top four.

Time for Revenge

Wolves would be looking to get revenge as they were only edged-out 1-0 even though they had better-attacking stats after Arsenal went down to 10-men.

So, would Wolverhampton get revenge, or is Arsenal going to come out victorious again and get closer to the UEFA Champions League spot? We do not expect any of the team to be complacent because this tie is highly vital to the race.

Arsenal vs. Wolves Head to Head

In recent years, Arsenal vs Wolves have clashed 15 times, with the boys from North London holding the number for most victories. From 2003 to 2018, Arsenal didn’t lose any game to Wolves in the Premier League.

The last time out just cemented Arsenal’s dominance over Wolverhampton, putting them to nine wins in 15. So, they are most likely the favorites for most soccer betting tips. However, Wolverhampton would be looking to fight for a place in the top race and get revenge for last time.

No European Ties No Problem

Both teams did not participate in any of the European competitions this season as they both missed out on the top seven positions. However, that has given them the chance to focus more on the league and other domestic competitions.

Although realistically, there is no chance of silverware this season, the race for Europe is raging on. With both teams sitting sixth and seventh, respectively, and two points between them, they are in a spot to enter a European tournament next season.

In addition, they have been able to maintain a strong squad throughout the season, and the coaches have implemented their tactics, making them strong teams. In that case, both teams have their first-team squad complete and can field a strong 11 to compete for the matchup.

Arsenal vs. Wolves Betting Preview

With all three points up for grab, both teams would be careful not to concede early. So, there is a chance that the game would take some time to open up, meaning that we might not be seeing lots of goals.

As a result, many sportsbooks put the point spread line at +/- 0.5, averaging around +105 and -135 for Arsenal and Wolverhampton, respectively.

In that case, there is a higher chance of getting a low-scoring matchup, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see if it ends like the first leg. However, the game has tendencies to open up towards the end, as any team that falls behind would want to try to take a point home.

Therefore, the current spread of the match is reachable and not outrageous.

Both teams are out to get all three points as it means they will take a step closer to Manchester United, which is currently holding the fourth place position.

Although Wolverhampton Wanderers are farther behind, we cannot write them off yet. This match will undoubtedly be an exciting showdown and one of the deciders for the top four race.
