Key 2023 CDL Qualifier Matchups – Week 1

The opening week can set the bar for every team.

‘That first match will help build momentum into the Stage 2 Major, or it can hurt teams already putting themselves in the hole.’

Eery esports bettor should watch these three critical matchups for week one.

Here are the matchups and esports betting tips for each one:

Atlanta FaZe (-238) vs. Seattle Surge (+170)

Atlanta FaZe will come into the match seeking revenge against the Seattle Surge. In what was considered the upset of the year, Seattle Surge knocked Atlanta out in the Winner’s Bracket Final in the Stage 1 Major. Atlanta is the clear favorite, but that’s what we said last time…

Florida Mutineers (-122) vs. LA Guerrillas (-110)

In a battle for the bottom, Florida and LAG are considered two of the worst teams in the league. LAG has sometimes shown some promise but can’t keep up with the big teams. This 2023 CDL qualifier matchup is a dream for esports bettors because the odds are relatively even. Regardless of who you bet on, you will get some payout!

LA Thieves (-105) vs. New York Subliners (-128)

The polar opposite of the 2023 CDL qualifier matchup above, LA Thieves vs. New York Subliners, could be the match of the tournament. Both teams sit near the top regarding esports betting odds. It is an even matchup as both teams look to get an excellent start to their Stage 2 Major campaign.
