Call of Duty League Champs 2023: Epic Battles for Gaming Glory

The Intense Competition of the Call of Duty League Champs Tournament

The Call of Duty League Champs 2023 Weekend is fast approaching! It’s unbelievable to think we’re officially a week away! With the CDL regular season now done and dusted and the top eight teams establishing themselves for the crowning event!

Last Sunday, the seeds were locked in as New York Subliners won the fifth and final Major of the 2023 CDL season, taking down Atlanta FaZe in the grand final.

Their win saw them fly to the second seed, pushing OpTic Texas and LA Thieves down. This granted them an easier opening-round matchup at the Call of Duty League Champs 2023 tournament.

As has been the case for the last few months, the Call of Duty Champs 2023 Weekend will be streamed on both the Call of Duty Twitch and CODLeague YouTube channels. Not only that, but watch parties will be in full effect from the likes of Scump and ZooMaa, as well as other big names such as NICKMERCS.

Here is everything you need to know about the Call of Duty League Champs 2023.

Top Call of Duty League Champs 2023 Teams to Watch

You talk to anyone, and they will say LA Thieves or Atlanta FaZe are the best teams at Call of Duty Champs 2023. And they would be right! Even the bookies have them as favorites to win the whole thing.

However, even though they are odds on to win, they still need to be the team that esports bettors should watch going forward. Those two teams are the New York Subliners and the Seattle Surge.

New York Subliners

The only squad which managed to win two Majors this year, New York Subliners is one of the top contenders for the CDL Champs title. After winning Major 1, they managed to end the regular season on a high by securing first place in Major 5. They also have HyDra among their ranks, having the season of his life. With their odds at +500 and a relatively easy route to the final, New York Subliners would be a good bet moving forward.

Seattle Surge

Seattle Surge has been together since the end of the Black Ops Cold War season. They also started great in the MWII year, making it to the final of the Stage 1 Major, where New York Subliners beat them. Sadly, they couldn’t get close to that performance for the rest of the season.

However, they did finish 1st in the Major 3 Qualifiers and got to 3rd place in the first half of Major 4. This secured them the last spot of Champs, but it all came down to the previous event of the season, which is too close to comfort. Nevertheless, at +800, Seattle Surge will be the tournament’s dark horse.
