CDL Stage 3 Odds: The Qualifiers Kicked Off Last Weekend
Seattle Surge Kicking it Up a Notch!

The first week of the CDL Stage 3 qualifiers kicked off last weekend, and the teams did not disappoint. The most surprising was seeing Seattle Surge start their Stage 3 Major campaign with a win over Minnesota RØKKR. New York Subliners and Boston Breach will be teams to watch in the next two weeks. Who would have thought we’d be saying that?
Though there wasn’t enough time for a full-blown roster mania between the end of Major Two and the start of the CDL Stage 3 qualifiers, several teams have made roster changes. Most notably, OpTic has replaced iLLeY with up-and-coming amateur talent Ghosty, who will make his CDL debut for the league’s most popular team.
The Boston Breach is bringing in another Challengers player, Beans, to fill the shoes of Methodz, who retired at Major Two. The Vegas Legion went for a one-person change by swapping 2ReaL in for Prolute, while the Florida Mutineers made the most roster moves and now feature a squad of Havok, Brack, FeLo, and Capsidal.
Tournament Standings and Format
The CDL split the CDL Stage 3 qualifiers over three weeks before the Stage 3 Major starts in March. As a result, each of the twelve teams will play against each other once and play four games. Every team will qualify for the Stage 3 Major in Arlington, but they will be seeded depending on how many points they earn. Teams will earn 10 CDL points for every win.

Key CDL Stage 3 Qualifier Matchups – Week 2
The second week can be a make or break for every team. That second match will help build momentum into the CDL Stage 3 Major, or it can hurt teams already in the hole. So every esports bettor should watch these three critical matchups for week two of the CDL Stage 3 qualifiers.
Here are the matchups and esports betting odds for each one:
Boston Breach vs LA Guerrillas
Odds:
Boston Breach is off to another fantastic start in the CDL Stage 3 qualifiers. They take on a solid LAG side who got off the wrong foot in their first match last weekend. The Breach hopes to continue their run heading into week two, but LAG will come out strong looking for a win.
Seattle Surge vs LA Thieves
Odds:
LA Thieves are off to a mediocre start to their standards. They have looked more vulnerable recently, and Seattle Surge hopes to exploit that. The Surge has not been the best team over the years, but they are looking stronger than ever. LA Thieves will expect to make a run for the Stage 3 Major heading into weeks two and three.
Toronto Ultra vs New York Subliners
Odds:
New York Subliners continue to dominate the 2023 season as they’ve started the CDL Stage 3 campaign with two resounding wins. Toronto Ultra, which used to be near the top of the pack, has fallen off but looks to rise to the top again. The Subliners might be the favorites, but the Ultra has much to prove.
