Europa League: Liverpool vs Toulouse Odds & Preview
Europa League Group E Matchup

Unbeaten Sides Face-Off
Liverpool have kicked off their 2023-24 Europa League campaign with two wins in two matches. On Thursday, they’ll welcome 2023 Coupe de France champions Toulouse to Anfield for a UEL Group E matchup. Toulouse has picked up a win and a draw so far and will look to remain unbeaten come Thursday. In one of the Europa League matches of the week, let’s check out the Liverpool vs Toulouse odds.
Head-to-Head:
Liverpool and Toulouse have met twice previously in European competition. They have no previous Europa League scores, though. In the third qualifying round of the 2007-08 Champions League, Liverpool defeated Toulouse 4-0 at Anfield and 1-0 in France.
Liverpool is Perfect at Anfield
Liverpool stayed perfect at Anfield this season with a 2-0 win in the Merseyside Derby vs. Everton on Saturday. Everton’s Ashley Young picked up two yellow cards and got himself sent off in the 37th minute. Luis Diaz caused all sorts of problems on the left side of the pitch but it was Mo Salah who scored both of Liverpool’s goals. The Liverpool legend scored a 75th-minute penalty and he finished off a pass from Darwin Nunez deep into stoppage time.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are in fourth place in the EPL standings and are in first in the Group E Europa League standings. They’ve won all six of their matches at Anfield, in all competitions, and are playing at home on Thursday. Salah’s been having another excellent season while Nunez has also stepped it up this season. The midfield additions of Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Alexis Mac Allister have also played big roles.
For Thursday’s match, the Liverpool vs Toulouse odds price the Reds as big favorites as they look to stay perfect in the Europa League. With Andy Robertson out, bettors can expect to see Kostas Tsimikas at left-back once again. Meanwhile, Cody Gakpo and Thiago Alcantara are doubtful.
Strong Start for Toulouse in UEL
Toulouse drew 1-1 vs. Reims in Ligue 1 on Sunday, which was their second straight draw in the French league. Reims hit the woodwork multiple times but Amir Richardson managed to find a 48th-minute breakthrough on a deflected cross. Thijs Dallinga equalized for Toulouse a few minutes later on a header that was initially ruled offside but the goal was confirmed by VAR.
TFC, the reigning Coupe de France champions, are currently in the middle of the pack in Ligue 1. With two wins, five draws, and two losses, Toulouse is in tenth place. They have notably lost just one of their last eight matches, in all competitions. In their last Europa League match, Toulouse managed to snag a 1-0 win vs. LASK, courtesy of a Gabriel Suazo goal.
Toulouse also managed to draw 1-1 at Union Saint-Gilloise in their UEL opener. In their first appearance in a UEFA competition for 14 years, Toulouse is in second place in the Group E Europa League table. Bettors should note that TFC joint-leading scorer Zakaria Aboukhlal is out injured for this one.
Match Analysis & Odds
Liverpool is expected to get the job done at Anfield but can’t afford to rest on their laurels. The Liverpool vs Toulouse odds price the Reds as -490 favorites. LFC are two-goal favorites for this one and Liverpool -2 currently shows -115 odds. Liverpool have outscored their opponents 16-3 at Anfield so far this season and it’s one of the toughest places for opponents to play in Europe.
Toulouse +2 also sits at +115 odds as they look for their first Europa League road win since 2009. Even if Jurgen Klopp decides to rest the likes of Mo Salah and Luis Diaz here, he’s got a lot of attacking weapons to call on. Darwin Nunez could play a key role, along with Diogo Jota. Expect midfielder Curtis Jones to start as he’s suspended for one more match in the Premier League.
Although Liverpool has been excellent at home, they haven’t kept many clean sheets this season. Two of their three have come in successive home matches, though. Here, over and under 3.5 goals are priced at -115 odds. Toulouse are on a six-game scoring streak in all competitions and just three goals total have been scored in their first two UEL matches.
