The Three Lions have improved as the tournament has gone on and substitute Ollie Watkins scored the winning goal on Wednesday as England defeated the Netherlands, 2-1. If this Spain vs England Euro Final goes Spain’s way, it’d mark their record fourth title, while England are still looking for their first. The opening odds favor Spain and we’ll give a full rundown of the odds board.

Head-to-Head:

Spain and England last met in the UEFA Nations League, in 2018. Spain defeated England 2-1 on the road and England were 3-2 victors in the reverse fixture. In the last five meetings, both teams have two wins, with a draw.

While Spain has only lost two of the last eight head-to-head matchups, England has won the last two UEFA Euro games between the sides. This Spain vs England Euro Final marks their first meeting in the Euros since 1996, though.

Spain Posing Big Attacking Threat

Spain came back with a vengeance after falling behind against France in the Semifinals nine minutes in. Lamine Yamal, who turns 17 the day before the final, scored one of the tournament’s best goals in the 21st minute and Dani Olmo scored the winner four minutes later. Yamal has scored or assisted in each of his last three games. Meanwhile, Olmo has managed 1.3 goal contributions per 90 minutes and will continue to fill in for the injured Pedri.

Spain has been an excellent soccer bet during the Euros, with five 90-minute wins and an extra-time victory over Germany. La Roja has only conceded three goals in six matches and has scored 13 goals, which is more than any other team at the Euros. Spain is 3-1 all-time in European Championship finals and they’ll get a couple of suspended players back for this match.

Right back Dani Carvajal and center-back Robin Le Normand could both be in Luis de la Fuente’s starting 11 come Sunday. With wingers Yamal and Nico Williams, Spain has posed a big attacking threat. However, striker Alvaro Morata got injured during a freak incident on Wednesday as a security guard ran into his leg while going after a pitch invader.

Morata is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s match and one of Mikel Oyarzabal, Joselu or Ferran Torres could take his place. Heading into Sunday’s match, Spain have lost only one of their last 18 games.

England Showing Resilience

Heading into the tournament, the outright UEFA Euro 2024 odds listed England as +300 favorites. Their group stage performance cast doubt on their ability to make a deep run, with a 1-0 win over Serbia and draws against Denmark and Slovenia. Plus, England trailed Slovakia in the round of 16 until the final minute of the match, when Jude Bellingham’s bicycle kick energized England.

Harry Kane ended up scoring the extra-time winner but England have trailed in their last three matches. Individual brilliance has bailed them out on multiple occasions, as Bukayo Saka scored a screamer to equalize in the Quarter-Final versus Switzerland. England managed a win on penalties and took down the Netherlands 2-1 in the Semifinals.

England dominated possession against the Netherlands and finally looked like a contending team. After falling behind early, Kane scored the equalizing penalty. Right before second-half stoppage time, Ollie Watkins scored the winner. It was his first career major tournament goal and he’s unlikely to score a bigger one.

Gareth Southgate has come under fire for his style of play and his in-game decision making but he did get things right against the Netherlands. Since he put midfielder Kobbie Mainoo in the starting lineup, England has looked much better and three at the back over the last couple of games has suited them. While England may not be playing as well as Spain, it’s hard to count them out given their ability to complete comebacks.

Spain vs England Odds

Despite being one of the world’s best players over the last decade, Harry Kane has never won a major trophy. He can win the Golden Boot and Euros if he can score en route to an England victory. However, Spain is a formidable opponent and it’s not a surprise they’re +145 moneyline favorites for this Spain vs England Euro Final.

Even with some key defenders suspended, Spain managed to keep Kylian Mbappe neutralized in the Semifinals. They won’t be intimidated by facing a frontline of Kane, Saka, and Phil Foden. England are +250 moneyline underdogs and four of their six 90-minute matches at the Euros have finished in a draw (+180)

Spain pk and Spain to come away with the Euro 2024 title sit at -155 odds. Spain has looked cohesive all tournament and they’ve only trailed for 33 minutes at the Euros. Over two goals are priced at -120 odds and Spain has scored eight goals in their last three games.

Even though Spain is the better team on paper, England can pull themselves out of sticky situations. England pk comes in at +135 Kane to finally end his trophy drought and England to win their first-ever European Championship stands at +125.
