Aussie’s Smith and Leishman Top Picks at LIV Greenbrier

2024 LIV Golf Greenbrier Odds

The LIV Tour is back and there are some golfing superstars in action in West Virginia this week.

Headlining 2024 LIV Golf Greenbrier odds is Jon Rahm, who finally scored his first LIV Tour win in the most recent event.

However, we’re backing the Australians to perform well, including Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman with generous golf odds, that could pay a small fortune!

Smith Seeks First 2024 Win

It was an explosive start to LIV Golf for Smith, but he has yet to win an event this year.

The 30-year-old from Brisbane won the 2022 Players Championship and Open Championship before joining the rebel league immediately, and it has paid off.

He is enjoying the lighter schedule, and it’s a trend that is catching on. Many of the best PGA players are taking multiple weeks off to prepare for the bigger tournaments.

“I have probably got another four or five weeks off every year [in] the last couple of years and been able to spend more time in Australia. I don’t know if I’m willing to sacrifice being away from my family and stuff” Smith said.

“If they had to play more, I’m not sure how happy everyone would be.”

He won the 2022 LIV Chicago event before winning in London and Bedminster in 2023. He also lost in a playoff at the 2023 Tulsa and Hong Kong events.

Class is on his side, and if he stayed on the PGA Tour, he would be destroying most of the fields over the last few months, especially with the best players missing in action.

However, he’s still an excellent golfer on the LIV Tour, and his 2024 LIV Golf Greenbrier odds are worth snapping up.

Golf betting markets have Smith at +1200, and it’s about time he won.

Don’t Forget About Leishman

Leishman hasn’t won since joining LIV, but the six-time PGA Tour winner could get back to his best in West Virginia.

The 40-year-old’s most recent win came at the 2021 Zurich Classic when beating Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel in a playoff, and he also won the 2020 Farmers Insurance Open when beating Rahm by one stroke.

There’s no doubting his ability, and although it’s clear he’s enjoying the money side of life at LIV, he still wants to win.

With a BMW Championship and Arnold Palmer Invitational win on his record, Leishman can’t be overlooked in this field.

We expect to see him near the top of the LIV golf leaderboard, and the +5000 odds are far too generous to overlook.

He represents a +3500 chance, and it could be a time for the Aussies to strike.

Mammoth Odds for Kiwi

We’re sticking with the Australasian theme of our picks and going with Danny Lee to win at huge odds.

2024 LIV Golf Greenbrier odds have Lee at +15,000 to win, and he has every chance to beat some of the best golfers in the world.

The New Zealander won the LIV Tucson event in 2023, and he also won the 2015 Greenbrier Classic on the PGA Tour.

That’s an important win on his record as it came on this golf course, so he’s easily good enough to turn back time and win at Greenbrier again.

Anything can happen over three rounds, and although beating the likes of Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka is tough, he could score an upset victory.

Overdue Win for Gooch

Talor Gooch won three LIV tournaments last year, and he’s due for another victory.

The American won in Adelaide, Singapore, and Andalucia, so we’re happy to back him to get back to winning form.

2024 LIV Golf Greenbrier odds have him at +2000, and those odds are worth including in golf picks this week.

Gooch defeated some quality golfers to win those events, including Sergio Garcia and DeChambeau.

He also won the 2021 RSM Classic on the PGA Tour by three strokes, so when he’s on his game, there aren’t too many that can stop him.

His career has been marred with controversies, but those are mostly because of his attitude of the PGA Tour, and the lack of qualification for the major tournaments.

Gooch is a player who can’t be overlooked, and there is excellent value with his current odds, which we expect to firm throughout the week.
