Finau Tops RSM Classic 2022 Odds Board
It’s an Open PGA Tour Field
Last week’s winner Tony Finau is the current favorite with RSM Classic 2022 odds and rightfully so.
He has been in excellent form this year, including three wins, and he looks to score consecutive PGA Tour wins for the second time.
PGA championship odds have Finau at +1000 to win, and given the best players in the world are at the DP World Tour Championship, he could take advantage.
Finau Firing
Last week, Finau easily won the Houston Open, demonstrating his ability to win week after week on the PGA Tour.
He won the 3M Open earlier this year by three strokes before returning to win the Rocket Mortgage Classic by five the following week. In 2022, he has won by a total of 12 strokes, and we predict that he will win again soon.
It’s hardly a criticism of him that he’s taking advantage of the PGA Tour’s weaker end-of-year fields. However, he must seize the opportunity and accumulate victories when guys like Seamus Power are the second favorite with RSM Classic 2022 odds.
Finau is priced fairly at +1000 to win the RSM Classic and he’s working hard.
“That was the most important stretch of my PGA Tour career,” Finau told Golf Channel. “I continued to believe, I didn’t give up on myself, I continued to work hard on my body and on my game and I just knew that – I was always hopeful that I could go on special runs, and I think we’re starting to see that now.
I’m starting to put together a full-package game, which is really exciting for me. That’s all you can do is work hard and I’ve worked extremely hard on parts of the game that I know I have to, and I think it’s starting to show.”
Maiden Win for Theegala
Sahith Theegala, a former amateur champion, is on the verge of earning his maiden PGA Tour victory and is definitely someone to keep an eye on.
His finest results came earlier in the year when he placed T5 at the Zozo Championship, T6 at the Fortinet Championship, and T2 at the Travelers Championship. He posted a T22 finish at the Houston Open last week, so he’s getting back to his best.
He just needs to concentrate more on producing consistent driving and putting stats because we don’t believe it will take him too much longer to break his PGA Tour duck. He is ranked 193rd for driving accuracy and 54th for strokes gained putting.
Those statistics aren’t good enough to win but the talent is there and his golf odds of +4000 and worth looking at.
Theegala is an emotional player and it could be his week at the RSM Classic.
Plugging in With Power
Power is one of the form golfers on the PGA Tour after winning the Bermuda Championship a few weeks ago.
Although we believe the Irishman is a bit below the best in Europe, he wanted to compete for a Ryder Cup spot, and winning events is a fantastic way to guarantee an automatic qualifying spot.
Take nothing away from the 35-year-old, who has also been taking advantage of the year’s end easier fields. He has loved playing on the coastal courses, and in Georgia’s Sea Island Seaside Course, he gets another.
Power is worth backing for the win as well as the top five and top ten markets; he is listed on the second line of RSM Classic 2022 odds at +2200.
Given his recent form, golf bettors can’t leave Power out of selections.
