The PGA Tour heads to Minnesota and bookmakers have PGA 3M Open odds available for some of the best golfers in the world.
Topping the list is Tony Finau, who is always a winning threat but he has some strong competition looking to cause a minor upset.
The race for the FedEx Cup is on and it’s going to be a hotly-contested PGA Tour tournament starting on Thursday.
Favorite Knocking on the Door
Finau is getting close to posting his third career PGA Tour victory having won his most recent in 2021.
Due consideration should be given to the 32-year-old American’s T28 finish in the Open Championship. It was a strong showing on the final day of action last Sunday, so he has played himself into form.
Finau closed with a final-round score of -6, which should boost his confidence going into the upcoming tournament, and PGA 3M Open odds have him favored to win at +1400. It’s a fair line for Finau, who is always tough to beat in any tournament he plays.
We believe the Utah native might finally claim a victory because he has been in contention after placing T13 at the Travelers Championship and second at the Canadian Open.
He has won on the PGA Tour twice, in 2016 and 2021, although he is more talented than that. Finau has come close on numerous occasions, including three playoff losses, and he deserves another victory.
It Could be His Day
Jason Day hasn’t had much luck with injuries over the past few years but the Australian could get inspiration from countryman Cam Smith winning the Open Championship.
Day’s career has suffered as a result of back issues. He still plays golf with class and commands respect, so he can’t be discounted from winning the 3M Open.
The Australian hopes to win for Australia and continue Cameron Smith’s heroics. He has won 12 times on the PGA Tour, making him the most accomplished player on the field. His current PGA betting odds of +5500 should not be disregarded and there is value in his price.
Day has every incentive to perform well at the 3M Open and a solid showing would put Day in a position to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs, even though there is plenty of water remaining under the bridge.
PGA 3M Open odds are worth taking and we’re keeping the faith with Day, who was good enough to contest many major golf tournaments at his best.
Stick with Tringale
It feels like just yesterday when Cameron Tringale was sharing a house with Rickie Fowler and the pair had the PGA at their mercy.
Fast forward to 2022 and Fowler is struggling to recapture his best form and Tringale has still yet to win a solo PGA Tour tournament.
Frustration is starting to build for Tringale and his loyal followers, who know how tough betting on golf can be when your weekly player can’t seem to win; however, we believe Tringale will get his win sooner rather than later.
The 34-year-old shot a strong first round at the Open Championship and made the cut. Although he didn’t play well in the second or third round, Tringale turned in another strong performance.
The week before the year’s final major, he finished T6 at the Scottish Open, demonstrating his top-end prowess. He is currently in good form, and he may reward devoted bettors who have been anticipating him to win a solo event for many years.
“I haven’t had a professional win on my own, and obviously Scotland is where golf started, so this place is special,” Tringale said.
Given his PGA 3M Open odds of +3000, bettors will be hoping he finds the TPC Twin Cities to his liking.Follow us on Twitter
