LIV Golf Chicago Odds: Johnson With Point to Prove

The Rebel League Rolls On

LIV Golf Chicago odds are out and it’s Cameron Smith leading the way at +800.

There is excellent value with LIV golf odds, especially for the likes of Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka.

Johnson was left off the USA Ryder Cup team, so he could make a statement at the 54-hole tournament.

Pressure Goes on Johnson

After a disappointing second season on the LIV Tour, Johnson knows he needs to start performing.

He also didn’t perform overly well at the majors, but he was gutted to be left off the Ryder Cup team.

“I would love to be a part of the team,” Johnson said. “But to be honest, I haven’t really played that well this year. But have I played well enough to be on the team? Yeah. I didn’t have the best year. Was it good enough to make the team? I think so.”

During his first season, Johnson was a regular at the top of the LIV Golf leaderboard, and we’re happy to back him this week in Chicago.

He’s a +1400 chance to beat the likes of Smith and Koepka, which is a value bet for the American superstar.

Improved DeChambeau Ready to Win

One of the hottest golfers in the world is Bryson DeChambeau, who shot 58 when winning on the LIV Tour earlier this year.

Had that performance happened on the PGA Tour, it would have been one of the best sporting moments of 2023. However, as it stands, it was largely swept under the rug.

“I’m playing really well. I’ve got some equipment that’s performing quite nicely off the driver, and that’s a deadly combination with my putting,” DeChambeau said.

“So clearly I putted well, drove it well, wedged it pretty well. You couldn’t have written it up better than this.”

DeChambeau should be favored to win with LIV Golf results at the end of this week. His game is in working order, and his weight loss has attributed to that.

He got far too big and far too unhealthy, so the slimmed down DeChambeau is always a chance to win golf tournaments.

He’s on the second line of betting at +1200 with LIV Golf Chicago odds, and we would have been happy to back him at +800.

Spaniard Worth a Wager

Sergio Garcia is another player robbed of a spot at the Ryder Cup.

If he was playing on the PGA Tour, he would have been guaranteed a captain’s pick due to being the winningest player in Europe’s history.

How they left someone with his experience off the team is mind boggling, but ego gets in the way of success on many an occasion.

Garcia has performed well on the LIV Tour, and he’s worth a wager at the Chicago event this week.

He has a point to prove, like Johnson and DeChambeau, so bettors should expect the best golf from the former Masters winner.

Garcia has always been a proud golfer, and getting +2800 LIV Golf Chicago odds at the sportsbook is well worth entertaining.

Expect to see Garcia near the top of the leaderboard after the first round, and he’s a solid top five and top 10 bet.
