Local Headlines LIV Golf Invitational Adelaide Odds

Can an Aussie Take Out the Title?

Cameron Smith tops the LIV Golf Invitational Adelaide odds board, and it’s hardly surprising for the Australian.

Last year’s Open Championship winner is currently trading at +1000 and holding off the likes of Joaquin Niemann, Brooks Koepka, and Dustin Johnson.

There is plenty of money to be made with LIV golf betting.

Smith Nearing Best

Smith hasn’t been at his best since moving to the LIV Tour, but the 29-year-old Aussie will love being back home.

He finished T34 at the Masters, which was a respectable performance, and bettors shouldn’t forget that he won the Open Championship and The Players in 2022, which got him to number two in the world.

He expects a big crowd in Adelaide, which should flock to see some of golf’s brightest stars.

“Yeah, yeah, a little bit. I definitely feel it, especially when I‘m back in Australia,” Smith said, as he prepared for the attention and expectation on arrival home. “I expect to play really good golf and sometimes that can be a bit of a hindrance.

“It’s kind of easy to get ahead of yourself and really want to do it rather than just kind of going through the motions, ticking the boxes and just letting it happen.”

His LIV Golf International Adelaide odds of +1000 are worth taking. If he gets off to a good start on Friday, those odds would be significantly lower.

Koepka Backs Up After Masters

Koepka had one arm inside the green jacket two weeks ago, but unfortunately for the LIV star, he wasn’t able to hold off a rampaging Jon Rahm.

However, it showed that the LIV players aren’t just there to show up and get their money. They are still some of the best in the world, and he’ll be keen to win consecutive LIV titles having won at Orlando.

He’s the only two-time LIV champion, so the four-time major winner is leading the way, which makes his odds on golf this week seem generous.

He has been backed into equal favoritism with Smith at +1000, but he could close at around +900 if current market projections are accurate.

Chase Theory with Gooch

Talor Gooch was one of the star signings for LIV Golf, but he hasn’t lived up to his potential.

He might have finished T34 at the Masters, but he hasn’t been able to contend on the LIV Tour, which shows the strength of the tour.

The 31-year-old should be winning soon, which is why we’re adopting the chase theory for the American, who has drifted to backable odds.

His LIV Golf Invitational Adelaide odds are +2200, which is much better than what bettors used to get for Gooch.

He represents good value and we wouldn’t leave him out of our selections in Australia.

Leishman Loves Home

Marc Leishman is always tough to beat in Australia, so there’s no reason to leave him off your ticket.

The 39-year-old owns six PGA Tour wins, including the BMW Championship in 2017 and the 2021 Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

“I really enjoyed my time on the PGA Tour and it was a really good time for a change for me just to be able to you know, with three young kids to be able to spend more time with them and more time in Australia is going down there and in a couple of weeks,’ Leishman said.

Leishman is a +2800 chance with LIV Golf Invitational Adelaide odds, so the local could take home the silverware to add to his collection.
