Scheffler Headlines Charles Schwab Challenge Odds, Has Much to Prove

PGA Hotter Than Ever With Big Betting Value

Charles Schwab Challenge odds have been released for the next PGA Tour stop at Colonial Golf Course this week.

Scottie Scheffler, despite having never won in May, headlines golf odds at +450, which means there is great value available elsewhere.

Who will be crowned the next PGA Tour champion?

Hovland Eyeing Biggest Win

Viktor Hovland comes off a T2 finish at the PGA Championship, so his confidence levels should be high.

The 25-year-old Norwegian has yet to win a big PGA Tour tournament, but there’s no doubting his ability to perform on the big stage.

He won the 2020 and 2021 Mayakoba Classic when all the big names were playing elsewhere, but take nothing away from him, he’s a star on the rise, and he’ll only improve.

Despite being gutted about not winning at Oak Hill, Hovland could get right back on the horse at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

“It sucks right now,” Hovland said, “but it is really cool to see that things are going in the right direction. If I just keep taking care of my business and just keep working on what I’ve been doing, I think we’re going to get one of these soon.”

Charles Schwab Challenge odds have Hovland on the fourth line of betting at +1400. We would much rather take those odds as opposed to the +450 for Scheffler, who tied with Hovland last week.

He’s a young talent and he should be winning again very soon.

Time for Morikawa to Strike

It has been a busy golf schedule for Collin Morikawa, but the two-time major winner needs to get back to his best form.

The 26-year-old burst onto the scene with wins in the 2020 PGA Championship and 2021 Open Championship, but he hasn’t won since 2021.

Considered as one of the best ball strikers on the PGA Tour, there are no real excuses for Morikawa, who finished T26 at the PGA Championship.

His putting isn’t where it needs to be, but right now he’s going through what Jordan Spieth went through a couple of years ago.

We have trust in his ability and the Charles Schwab Challenge is the perfect tournament for him. His game is suited by Colonial, and he needs a strong showing to get his fans back on his side.

Charles Schwab Challenge odds have Morikawa at +1600, so he’s a trending pick.

Fowler to Bounce Back

We predicted Rickie Fowler to miss the cut at the PGA Championship and he did us proud!

However, we expect his best form to return this week, because he was one of the most consistent players prior to the tournament.

Fowler finished T14 at the Wells Fargo Championship, T15 at the RBC Heritage, and T10 at the Texas Open, so he was red-hot.

He has gone through some serious swing changes, which has been helped by the Harmon brothers.

“Right now is making sure that, I mean for me to get the club to where it’s not laid off at the top, that’s kind of the focus. If I’m in a good position from there, I can go ahead and swing and let it go. But sometimes, the feel to get there, there could be a few that help me to that position,” Fowler said.

Fowler is a value pick at +2500. Prior to last week, he was consistent, so include him in tournament winner and top 10 picks.

Fox Making the Most of it

New Zealand’s Ryan Fox secured a temporary PGA Tour membership with his top 25 finish at the PGA Championship, and he could make full use of it.

The big-hitting Kiwi has enough power and talent to win on the PGA Tour, and we can’t turn down his Charles Schwab Challenge odds of +7500.

He also posted a T26 at the Masters, so he has been playing well in the majors in the limited opportunities he has had.

It backed up his T27 at The Players, and although winning this tournament won’t be easy against the best in the world, his odds are worth taking for some interest.
