Scheffler vs Schauffele: Stars Headline FedEx Cup Playoffs
2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship

The Americans headline the market with 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship odds, and it’s Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele leading the way.
Having both had incredible years, they are the fancied picks to win the opening tournament of the FedEx Cup playoffs in Memphis this week.
Scheffler is the +375 favorite over Schauffele at +800, but there is stiff competition from Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa, who could feature on the 2024 PGA leaderboard.
Big Year Continues for Scheffler
Scheffler is a man on a mission in 2024, which could be capped off with a FedEx Cup win.
The 28-year-old American comes off a gold medal win at the Olympics, where he shot -9 on the final day to steal the victory.
“It’s pretty high up there,” Scheffler said. “Anytime you’re able to represent your country is pretty special. This was a fun week and it was great representing the USA, and I’m proud to be going home with a medal.”
It was another excellent performance from the best player in the world, and although he has only two majors to his name, he keeps winning golf tournaments for bettors.
There is a reason why he’s the +375 favorite to win the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship, and his odds could firm throughout the week.
He also recently won an $8 million bonus on the PGA Tour, so life is good for Scheffler’s, who has been through it all in 2024.
He won the Masters in April, had a child, landed himself in jail, and won Olympic gold. You could write a book about it, and he’s our top pick to win the St. Jude Championship.
His golf odds are on the short side, but they’re warranted.

Schauffele to Prove He’s Top Dog
We’re still making the claim that Schauffele should be the 2024 PGA Tour Player of the Year after winning the PGA Championship and Open Championship.
He is the only player with two majors to his name this year, and that would usually secure you Player of the Year with ease.
Scheffler won the Masters and many other tournaments, but the major count favors Schauffele, and he could win the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
The second elect with the sportsbook is a value pick at +800, and his PGA Tour schedule has been packed with great performances.
He needs to close the gap on Scheffler in the race for the FedEx Cup, so we expect nothing short of a great week for the 30-year-old.
His PGA Championship 2024 odds were generous, and we think he can run it back and win the opening tournament of the playoffs.
Burns Starting to Warm Up
Sam Burns is one of the more popular golfers on the PGA Tour, and he’s starting to get back to his old form.
The 28-year-old finished T12 at the 3M Open, which followed a T31 at the Open Championship, and that should give him confidence.
He is a five-time PGA Tour winner, including the 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge and 2023 Dell Match Play, so he has quality wins under his belt.
It’s all about confidence for Burns, who was once at the top of the PGA Tour rankings, but he suffered some injury setbacks.
However, that could all turn around at the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship, and getting +4000 is a generous price.
- We’re happy to include him in our golf picks at the odds.
Homing in on Homa
The bubble has seemingly burst with Max Homa, but we’re giving him one more chance.
He won five tournaments in a two-year span, which put him on the map, but it has been slim pickings for over a year and a half.
His last tournament win came at the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open in January, and his wins have come against moderate PGA Tour fields.
He has become a likeable guy with his funny Twitter posts, but it’s time for Homa to get back to what he does best.
We’re backing him because he’s paying +6600, and he only needs to catch fire to win this tournament. He should want to make an impact to climb the FedEx Cup rankings, so desperation is starting to sink in.
