Can Anyone Stop Mbappe, Real Madrid?
2024 La Liga Season Outright Odds: Real Favorites to Repeat

Atletico Madrid Showing Value
Real Madrid, after adding Jude Bellingham, won the 2023-24 La Liga by 10 points over rivals Barcelona. Now, Real have added Kylian Mbappe to a star-studded roster and it’s going to be difficult for anyone to usurp them.
Still, the two most recent winners other than Real, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are looking to improve in the Summer. Atletico, in particular, are aggressively negotiating transfers.
With Real going for back-to-back league titles heading into the new season, which starts on August 15th, we’ll preview the 2024 La Liga season outright odds.

Real Madrid: Strong Favorites
After years of rumors, Kylian Mbappe is finally a Real Madrid player and the Spanish giants didn’t have to pay a penny on a transfer fee. Mbappe ran out his contract at Paris Saint-Germain, where he is the club’s all-time leading scorer.
Real also added promising Brazilian talent Endrick to a team that won La Liga and the Champions League in 2023-24. Legendary midfielder Toni Kroos may have retired but Eduardo Camavinga and Arda Guler are waiting in the wings.
Plus, Real Madrid have two Ballon d’Or candidates, in Bellingham and Vinicius Jr and an excellent defense, spearheaded by Antonio Rudiger. Coach Carlo Ancelotti snubbed Brazil to stay in Madrid and his Real are -250 favorites to win another La Liga title.

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid Chasing Real
Barcelona show +275 La Liga betting odds to win a second league title in three seasons. However, their financial situation has hurt their bid to improve the roster. They’re closing in on a deal for Spain’s Euro 2024 hero Dani Olmo but new coach Hansi Flick may have to rely heavily on the youth.
Still, striker Robert Lewandowski ranked third in the La Liga stats last season, with 19 goals, and players like Ilkay Gundogan and Frenkie De Jong give Barcelona valuable experience in midfield. Barcelona finished second in 2023-24, with 85 points and it could help them to return to their renovated home ground, Camp Nou, in November.
While Barcelona have financial issues, Atletico Madrid are flexing their financial muscles this Summer. They’ve already brought in starting Spain center back Robin Le Normand and Alexander Sorloth, who scored 23 goals for Villarreal last season.
They’re in advanced talks for Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez, Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher and Valencia’s Javi Guerra. These players would certainly strengthen Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid squad.
Atletico, who finished in fourth place in 2023-24, show solid value to win their first La Liga title since 2020-21, at +900 odds.
Basque Clubs and Girona Lead Rest of the Pack
Real Sociedad have finished in La Liga’s top six for five straight seasons and have one of the more stable foundations in the league. The Basque giants sold Robin Le Normand to Atletico Madrid but brought in Luka Sucic, Sergio Gomez and Javi López to strengthen their squad. Their ceiling is limited but they can cause any team problems on any given matchday.
In 2023-24, Bilbao-based Athletic Club won their first Copa del Rey in 40 years and finished in fifth place in La Liga. Left winger Nico Williams had his breakout campaign for club and country and was one of the key players in Spain’s Euro 2024 triumph.
He’s one of the most dynamic players in the league and Athletic Club had the second-best defensive record in La Liga last season. Currently, Bilbao’s 2024 La Liga Season outright odds are +2800.
Girona’s La Liga scores were the most surprising in the league last season. The Catalan club finished in third place at 25-6-7 and qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history. However, a bunch of the key players from 2023-24 are no longer at the club, like Golden Boot winner Artem Dovbyk, Savinho, Aleix Garcia, Eric Garcia and Yan Couto.
With a busy Champions League schedule impacting their league campaign, Girona are at +3300 odds to win La Liga.
Longshots +10000 and Under
Villarreal (+6600) could be in line for a surprising season. They’re not playing in any UEFA competitions and drastically improved once Marcelino took over as coach last season. Although leading scorer Alexander Sorloth and goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen have moved on, Villarreal have already brought in Willy Kambwala, Nicholas Pepe and Pape Gueye.
Villarreal finished in eighth place in 2023-24 but they’ll look to jump into the European places, where Real Betis finished last year. Real Betis came in seventh last season, meaning they’ll play in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Betis are in a transition period, with lots of transfers in and out. Isco revived his career last season in Seville and he, Ayoze Perez and Pablo Fornals should make for a fun watch. Betis also show +6600 odds to win the title.
Sevilla (+10000) had an awful season in 2023-24, as the seven-time Europa League winners came in 14th place. New coach Garcia Pimienta is their fifth new hire since October 2022. With key striker Youssef En-Nesyri gone, this could be another tough year for Sevilla.
The last team with 2024 La Liga Season outright odds at +10000 or better is Valencia. Valencia’s form tailed off towards the end of the 2023-24 season but they have an exciting young core.
They’ll have a good chance of reaching the European places, especially if they keep goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili. Notably, Valencia are the last team other than Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona to win the La Liga title, back in 2003-04.
