Goalkeeper Navas Sued for “Modern Slavery” by Former Assistant
PSG Former Star in Hot Water Over French Legal Troubles

The PSG former goalkeeper, Keylor Navas, finds himself sued by his ex-assistant, accusing him of harsh working conditions and mistreatment.
Navas’ assistant claims he worked 90 hours a week without a contract, earning €3,200 in cash monthly, and lived in a damp, moldy, windowless basement, all of which got Navas sued. There was no registration in the French social security system during the 20 months of employment.
When asked for a proper contract, Navas reportedly said, “We work by my rules. No French contract. I pay you in cash.”
Legal Kicks In
The assistant’s lawyer, Yassine Yakouti, described the situation as “bordering on modern slavery.” He emphasized that being a football star does not exempt Navas from following the law, especially strict French law, which definitely got Navas sued. Among other allegations unveiled, it seems the assistant was forced to carry a weapon to protect the goalkeeper, which was also allegedly used for fun in his garden.
Final Whistle
As the drama unfolds, getting Navas sued, how will this affect the celebrated goalkeeper, who is now reportedly close to signing up with the Mexican team Club Leon in the Liga MX?
