It’s not too difficult to spot a trend in Strasbourg’s recent matches. They’ve been excellent on defense but haven’t necessarily capitalized offensively. Their last seven matches have gone under 2½ goals, but they’ll face an adept Rennes attack on Wednesday.

Only star-studded Paris Saint-Germain have scored more goals than Rennes this season and forward Martin Terrier is firmly in the Golden Boot race.
Terrier has 19 goals, which is only one behind league leader Kylian Mbappe. He scored a late penalty in SRFC’s last match vs. Monaco, but it was too little, too late as the Monegasques picked up a 3-2 road win. What to Watch …
When viewing the Strasbourg vs Rennes odds, note that Rennes may be missing multiple players due to injury. Nayef Aguerd is second on the team in minutes and scored in the reverse fixture, but missed SRFC’s last match due to injury. GK Alfred Gomis has missed the last four matches and Rennes have conceded 1½ goals per game in his absence.
As good as Rennes are on offense, Strasbourg have kept four clean sheets in their last seven matches. They could go and and take all three points if they’re able to control the pace of the game and shut down Terrier and Gaetan Laborde. However, that’s a big if.
