MLB Recent Form Report Essential To Cashing Tickets
Orioles, Nationals Top-Earning Teams in 2024; Are They The Best Bet?

As bettors, we tend to look at things from an overall perspective too much. It’s vital to break down the season into compartments when betting baseball because what happens in April is irrelevant to a game in the middle of August. Long-term numbers will only tell you where you’ve been but recent form may offer a window into where teams are going.
Let’s jump into the 2024 MLB 30-day trend report to give you an accurate idea of what teams you should be backing with your money moving forward.

Yankees, Guardians, and Reds Lead The Way
This a perfect example of why a 2024 MLB 30-day trend report is a massive resource. The Washington Nationals are second only to the Baltimore Orioles in total units won this season, but that has changed over the last 30 days with the Nats slowing down with a 13-15 record, winning just 1.98 units (13th in baseball). New betting powers have emerged with the New York Yankees taking the top spot with a 22-6 30-day record, profiting 10.40 units.
The Cleveland Guardians at 17-7 (+7.29), and the Cincinnati Reds at 16-11 (+6.81) follow the Yankees. Those three teams combined are 55-24 (.696) +24.49 units, making these three clubs best bets today. That doesn’t mean we should forget about the Baltimore Orioles who continue to embrace bettors with 23.38 units won overall after adding another 5.79 units over the last 30 days.
The Milwaukee Brewers top the list of units won at home over the last month with a 10-2 record (+5.56) followed by the Guardians (9-2) +5.35 and the Philadelphia Phillies (12-2) +4.94. Those are the overall numbers but we need to add a filter because we’re not laying more than -150 on a wager. So what teams are the most profitable as less than a -150 favorite or underdog? We analyze those numbers as we continue our 2024 MLB 30-day trend report.
Adjusting The Moneyline Must
When combing through MLB odds today, we suggest throwing out teams that are a -150 favorite or more. We still have to be mindful of our bankroll and nothing will eat through that faster than a few massive favorites taking a loss. Here are your top teams over the last 30 days with moneylines less than -150.
The top three are the same as the previous section with the New York Yankees rocking a 13-4 mark (+7.79) with the Guardians a close second (15-6) with 7.19 units won while the Reds are 15-11 (+6.19). The St. Louis Cardinals (12-8) ascended to the fourth spot behind a 12-8 record (+4.51 units).
For a team that has been forgotten about with 3.54 units lost overall in 2024, you may want to keep an eye out for the Cards who should be considered as an addition to your MLB card on days when one of the teams ahead of them is off. Keeping with the under -150 theme, the Baltimore Orioles are 11-3 (+5.34)Â over the previous 30 days.
The Guardians (11-4) are close behind with 5.12 units won while the Yankees are 8-3 (+3.23). Taking out the -150 filter, these are the teams who have thrived when receiving more than 50% of the public money over the last 30 days. At 20-5 the Yankees (+8.96) lead the way followed by the Cleveland Guardians (15-5) +7.17 and Baltimore Orioles (17-5) +6.65. For every good wager, there are poor bets, we finish up our MLB 30-day trend report by looking at the teams to stay away from.
Stay Away From These Bankroll Killers
The Atlanta Braves (-10.16 units) head a list of teams who steal money from customers over the last month with a 10-16 record. Of the 26 games, the public money was on the Braves 23 times. The Boston Red Sox (6-10) are a distant second with 5.74 units lost (6-10) and the Detroit Tigers (3-7) -4.36 units.
The Braves, Red Sox, and Tigers are combined 19-33 (-20.26) over the last 30 days. At home, the Tampa Bay Rays (4-11 / -8.23) head the list of teams to keep your money away from. The Braves (5-8) -5.74 and Chicago White Sox (4-10 / -5.47) round out the bottom three.
We don’t have to tell you this but stay away from the Chicago White Sox on the road after dropping 13 of their last 14 (-11.29). The Oakland Athletics had a surprising start but have lost 13 of 15 (-8.78) away from Oakland followed by the Braves (5-9) -5.42 units.
To give you some free MLB picks heading into the weekend, focus on the Yankees, Guardians, and Orioles because they’ll give you the best chance to cash a ticket without sacrificing much of your bankroll. All the best with your MLB picks and parlays.
