Dodgers vs Orioles Betting Odds: Dodgers Hoping to End Orioles Run
Baltimore's Extends Streak to 8

The Los Angeles Dodgers will begin a three-game series against a red-hot Baltimore Orioles club that has won eight straight games.
MLB team stats show Baltimore is just one game out of first place in the AL East. No team has been in first place in the AL East other than the Tampa Bay Rays throughout the year. A series win by the Orioles could potentially push them into first place in the AL East.
On the other hand, the Dodgers are coming into this series leading the NL West by 1.5 games. Los Angeles just defeated the Mets, on the road, in a three-game series and will look to continue to add wins to their 53-39 record.
This should be a fun weeknight series. Here’s a look at the Dodgers vs Orioles betting odds for the three-game interleague series.
The Los Angeles Starting Pitching Depth is Weak
The Dodgers have one of the best MLB lineups in baseball. But the pitching depth is lacking, especially with Clayton Kershaw out of the rotation due to injury.
The Dodgers have relied on young pitchers who haven’t pitched at a high level since getting called up from the minors. They’ll start three pitchers with an ERA above 4.30 in this series. Those three pitchers include two righties and a lefty.
Baltimore’s offense hasn’t been electric against lefties over the last 30 days. But the Orioles haven’t faced many lefties in the previous 30 days, either. The Orioles have also been average against righties over the last 30 days. They’ve played better in the previous eight games but still don’t have eye-popping numbers against righties as a lineup.
The Baseball Standings
The Orioles and Dodgers could be in first place in their respective divisions when this series ends on Wednesday afternoon. The Orioles are only a game out of first place in the AL East, and the Dodgers currently lead in the NL West by 1.5 games.
The Orioles and Dodgers have relied on their above-average offenses to get to where they are. The MLB stats show that the Dodgers and Orioles are in the top ten in OPS this season. The Dodgers aren’t hitting a high average, but they’ve hit the second-most home runs in the MLB.
We’ll see if they can earn more extra-base hits against the Orioles in this series.
âš¾ Game 1 âš¾
Emmet Sheehan vs Grayson Rodriguez
Monday, 7:05 p.m. ET
The series’ first game will be a battle between two rookie pitchers. Emmet Sheehan has thrown four games in the Majors and has a 2-0 record with a 4.35 ERA. He’ll face Grayson Rodriguez of the Orioles, who has a 7.35 EA in ten games this season.
He was so bad for the Orioles earlier this year that the rookie phenom was sent back to the minors. He hasn’t pitched in the big leagues since May and will have a tough matchup against the Dodgers lineup.
The Dodgers vs. Orioles betting odds have the Dodgers favored to win Game 1. The Dodgers are at -115, with the Orioles sitting at -105. The total is currently at 9.5, with the Under juiced to -120.
âš¾ Game 2 âš¾
Michael Grove vs Tyler Wells
Tuesday, 7:05 p.m. ET
Meanwhile, Michael Grove will pitch in the second game for the Dodgers. He’s holding a 6.89 ERA on the season. He’ll be matched up with Tyler Wells, who has impressed for the Orioles this year. Wells has a 3.18 ERA on the season with 103 strikeouts. However, he’s struggled against righties over the last month, giving up a .362 ISO and wOBA of .385 to his previous 63 righties.
We’ll likely see plenty of runs in Game 2.
âš¾ Game 3 âš¾
Julio Urias vs. Dean Kremer
Wednesday, 1:05 p.m. ET
Finally, the Dodgers vs. Orioles betting odds for Game 3 should have the Dodgers favored again on the road. Julio Urias of the Dodgers will take the hill against Dean Kremer of the Orioles.
Urias is a left-handed pitcher who will take on an Orioles lineup that hasn’t had much success against lefties recently.
On the other hand, Kremer has watched his last 46 lefties hit an ISO of .375 and wOBA of .396. The Dodgers usually use these types of splits to their advantage. The Dodgers have the pitching advantage in Game 3 as well.
