Mariners vs Rockies Betting Should Be On Seattle
Interleague Series Has Colorado Hosting Seattle

The Seattle Mariners look to stay hot as they hit the road for a three-game interleague series with the slumping Colorado Rockies beginning on Friday. Seattle is coming off a sweep of a three-game series with the Cincinnati Reds that pulled it within a game of .500 on the season.
The Mariners (9-10) are in the midst of a tight AL West race with four teams within two games of each other. A few wins on the road would certainly help Seattle move up in the major league baseball standings.
The Rockies (4-15) have one of the worst records in baseball and enter the weekend series on a five-game skid. Colorado is in last place in the NL West, already seven games behind the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers.
As you would expect, the baseball betting odds favor the visiting Mariners in the opener. Seattle is -125 on the moneyline for Friday’s game, while Colorado is listed at +115. The over/under for the first contest is set at 11.5 runs, with -128 for the under and +108 for the over.

Pitching Matchups
Game 1: Emerson Hancock (Seattle) vs Dakota Hudson (Colorado)
Right-hander Emerson Hancock will take the mound to open the series for the Mariners, and he’s hoping for better luck than his first three starts. Hancock is 1-2 with a 7.98 ERA, giving up multiple earned runs in each outing. He’s coming off a six-inning stint against the Chicago Cubs in which he allowed two earned runs on four hits last Saturday.
Colorado will turn to righty Dakota Hudson to open the series, as the 29-year-old is looking to record his first win of the season. Hudson is 0-3 with a 4.15 ERA in three starts, allowing at least three earned runs in each. Hudson took the loss against the Toronto Blue Jays in his last start, going six innings and allowing five runs on five hits.
Game 2: Luis Castillo (Seattle) vs Kyle Freeland (Colorado)
The Mariners are hoping for a change in fortunes when righty Luis Castillo is on the mound, as he comes into Saturday’s start with an 0-4 record and 5.84 ERA. The 31-year-old allowed four earned runs in each of his first three starts this season before going six innings and giving up three runs (two earned) against the Cubs last Sunday.
The second game of this series could finish with one of the highest MLB scores today, as Colorado will have Kyle Freeland getting the start against Castillo. The lefty Freeland has an 0-3 record and 13.21 ERA in four starts in 2024, giving up at least four runs in every outing.
Game 3: George Kirby (Seattle) vs Cal Quantrill (Colorado)
The one scheduled starter for this series with a .500-or-better record this season is righty George Kirby, who will make his fifth start of the campaign on Sunday. Kirby is 2-2 with a 6.64 ERA, though he struggled in his only road start, allowing five runs over four innings against Toronto.
Colorado will close out the series with Cal Quantrill taking the mound. The right-hander is 0-2 with a 5.57 ERA in four starts but is coming off his best outing of the season. Against Philadelphia on Monday, Quantrill went six innings and allowed one run on four hits.
Both Teams Have Big Hitters
Even with a lack of success in the win column, Colorado has some of the better hitters in the game in its lineup. Leading the charge is third baseman Ryan McMahon, who is fifth in baseball with a .361 batting average. McMahon is even better at Coors Field, batting .391 with two home runs and seven RBI in six games.
Seattle has had a balanced offense this season, with four different players leading the team with three home runs apiece. Outfielder Mitch Haniger has been the most consistent player at the plate for the Mariners, hitting .292 with three doubles, three home runs, 13 RBI and 10 runs scored. He leads or is tied for the team lead in all of those categories.
High-Scoring Series Goes To Mariners
Like most series played at Coors Field, this one should see some high scores. That means taking the over is the play for every game for your Mariners vs Rockies betting.
Colorado has just had a hard time putting things together to pick up wins this season, and even a return home isn’t going to change that in this series. Seattle has started to get on a roll and should have its bats cooking against a struggling Rockies pitching staff. Make sure your bets are on Seattle and the over in each game of this weekend series.
