What makes MLS so exciting is that the table can change at any given week. While in most leagues, you can predict who will make the top four, good luck trying to do that in MLS. Last week, we saw so many moves in the MLS team standings that it’s hard to keep track! Let’s hope MLS week 8 gives us that and more!

Key Betting Matchups for MLS Week 8

After an action-packed week in MLS action, week eight should be a lot more fun. There are plenty of juicy matchups heading into MLS week 8. So instead of our standard three-match programming, we will give fans four matches!

So here are the four key MLS week 8 games every sports fan betting on MLS should watch.

COLColumbus Crew vs England RevolutionNER

Day/Time:
MLS Odds: Crew (-105), Revolution (+265)

The battle of the top four kicks off MLS week 8 action as the resurging Columbus Crew invite an in-form New England Revolution to Lower.com Field in this Eastern Conference matchup. Columbus started the season a little disjointed but has found some form and looks like a force to reckon with. However, New England has been one of the best teams in the league this season. Betting on the Revs at +265 is a no-brainer.

NYRNew York Red Bulls vs Houston DynamoHOU

Day/Time:
MLS Odds: Red Bulls (-165), Dynamo (+425)

In any other season, the odds for this match make sense. Typically, NYRB is one of the better teams in MLS, but this season has been a different story as they’ve only won one game, and there is a lot of controversy surrounding the team. The Dynamo have slowly been climbing the ladder in the West and can make a decent run if they keep their form. Betting on Houston at +425 is an absolute steal.

PORPortland Timbers vs Seattle SoundersSEA

Day/Time:
MLS Odds: Timbers (+175), Sounders (+135)

The Timbers are playing back-to-back Cascadia Cup matches as they play host to the first-place Seattle Sounders. Regardless of either team’s record, it will always be entertaining whenever these two play. It is the fiercest rivalry in MLS. Bettors could go either way with this matchup, but we advise avoiding the draw. When these two play, it’s hardly ever a draw.

LAGLA Galaxy vs LAFC LFC

Day/Time:
MLS Odds: Galaxy (+185), LAFC (+130)

The MLS-branded rivalry, El Trafico, is the only match played on Sunday this week. They were supposed to kick off the 2023 MLS season, but they had to postpone due to the horrible weather. Usually, both teams would be in the top six in the West with LAFC up top, but LA Galaxy has taken a nosedive to the bottom of the table. Betting on LAFC at +130 for a small payout could be worth it if you’re looking to bet more than $50.
