Denny Hamlin leads the favorites in the 2024 NASCAR All-Star Race Odds

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver's already won three races in 2024. Can he make it four this weekend?

The NASCAR All-Star weekend is here. North Wilkesboro Speedway plays host again to the annual $1 million challenge for the Cup Series’ best.

Seventeen drivers have automatically qualified for the All-Star race, with another three yet to be determined. The latest 2024 NASCAR All-Star Race Odds point to many familiar faces at the front for the weekend.

2024 NASCAR All-Star Race Odds: Favorites

  • Denny Hamlin (+500)

Hamlin’s enjoying his best stretch of the season over the last three races. A win in Dover, fifth in Kansas, and fourth in Darlington makes him the hottest driver in the NASCAR Cup Series field over that stretch.

No one can match his recent pace.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

Last year, Hamlin finished 13th in the All-Star Race and one lap down from the winners. That’s not the best track record in limited running, but he comes into the race this year with much better momentum.

He should be in contention for the win.

  • William Byron (+600)

Byron’s made good on his NASCAR results following his victory in the season-opening Daytona 500. Since then, he has another two wins (Austin and Martinsville) and five more top-10 results.

Like Hamlin, Byron had a tough outing in the All-Star Race last year. He finished 20th and two laps down from the leaders. His results so far this year are good enough to give some confidence he can improve from last year this weekend.

  • Christopher Bell (+750)

Bell’s inconsistency in 2024 continued last time out in Darlington. After pole position in Kansas led to sixth place by the chequered flag, Bell finished 13th ahead of All-Star weekend.

Thanks to his win in Phoenix and top-three results in Austin and Daytona, he’s 15th in the NASCAR points standings.

Bell finished last year’s All-Star Race in 12th and the last car on the lead lap. He’ll be looking for more this time around, but his recent form doesn’t inspire much confidence.

  • Kyle Larson (+850)

Larson returns to North Wilkesboro as the Cup Series points leader. Despite his worst finish of the season in Darlington, he still won Stage 1 and holds a 30-point lead in the championship.

He leads the field in stage points (159) and is second in bonus points (17).

As far as NASCAR results in the All-Star Race go, Larson is one of the best in series history. He dominated at North Wilkesboro last year in leading 145 of 200 laps and winning his third career All-Star Race.

That ties him with legends Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon for the second-most. Can he make it two in a row? There’s little reason for doubt, given his form in 2024.

  • Joey Logano (+950)

Logano’s the lowest-ranked driver among the favorites in the Cup Series standings. He’s 17th in what’s been a very inconsistent season for the 2022 champion, especially recently. He finished classified 34th in Kansas and 21st in Darlington.

Last time out in the All-Star Race, Logano managed 10th on the back of a much better start to the season. It’d be a surprise to see him in victory lane this weekend.

Sleepers

  • Ryan Blaney (+1000)

The defending champion’s inconsistent 2024 season continued in Darlington. He crashed out and classified 34th for his worst result of the season. After three top-five finishes in the first four races, he’s managed just one in the nine races since then.

This weekend could be a nice way for him to start a turnaround. Last year, he finished sixth on the road as the top Team Penske driver. That’s a good enough track record to warrant some confidence this weekend.

  • Chase Elliott (+1000)

Elliott’s a popular sleeper pick for much of the season, thanks to his consistency in 2024. He’s yet to finish outside the top 19 drivers in every NASCAR race, and no other driver can match that feat.

Elliott made the All-Star Race last year for teammate Larson’s domination and finished fifth by the chequered flag. He’s had a better season ahead of the race this year. Last time out in Darlington saw him finish 12th but he’s shown he can make it to the front regularly.

  • Tyler Reddick (+1200)

Pole position, a Stage 2 win, and most laps led only yielded 32nd for Reddick in Darlington last week. Luckily, he’s still in the top six of the standings thanks to his win in Talladega and top-five finishes in Las Vegas, Austin, and Texas.

Last year, Reddick finished third behind Larson and teammate Bubba Wallace. That good form at North Wilkesboro could be a good sign for this weekend.

  • Brad Keselowski (+1200)

Prior to his win in Darlington, Keselowski would’ve had his work cut out for him in the NASCAR schedule this weekend. He hadn’t won a race since the GEICO 500 in 2021 and would use his Cup champion status as the way to enter the All-Star Race.

But he finally broke through to snap his 110-race drought. It comes after five top-10 results in the first 12 races. He could use that momentum from a recent win to make it two in a row.

  • Daniel Suárez (+3300)

Suárez is a bit of a wild card this weekend. His impressive win in Atlanta secured his spot in the All-Star Race. Aside from that victory, he’s managed just one other top-10 result this season.

Last year, he was the only driver besides Larson to lead any laps. He led 55 in total en route to seventh place. That’s good enough to make him a potential surprise winner this weekend.

2024 NASCAR All-Star Race Odds: Picks

The All-Star Race should be another exciting exhibition for fans and drivers alike. Two different tire compounds should make for even better racing than last year.

Of the favorites, we like Hamlin (+500) to continue his strong form with a win this weekend. Of the sleepers, look for Keselowski (+1200) to make it two in a row. We like Hamlin (+150), Larson (+260), and Keselowski (+350) as the top three drivers on Sunday.
