Heat vs Nuggets Player Props: Jokic To Continue Dominance in Game 3
NBA Player Odds Expect Superstar To Post Lofty Stats Again

No Containing Nikola Jokic Per Game 3 Odds
Whether Denver wins or loses, one thing does not change: Nikola Jokic dominates. Denver lost Game 2 but Jokic still led the game in scoring (41 points) and rebounding (11). He only had four assists, but if you add these, it still totaled ‘over’ his NBA lines. Now, the Heat vs Nuggets player props expect Jokic to continue his prolific stats in Game 3 of these NBA Finals.

Prolific Totals are the Norm for Jokic
Entering Game 3, the Heat vs Nuggets player props expect Jokic to total a combined 50.5 points, rebounds, and assists. To put that in perspective, Jokic can get a 30-point triple double and still fall short if he had exactly 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. But this is the world the Finals MVP favorite lives in.
“This guy is an incredible player, Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said when asked about the team’s strategy against him. “Twice in two seasons he’s been the best player on this planet… We try to do things the hard way, and he forces you to do many things the hard way. He has our full respect.”
On the road, Jokic has posted a triple double in four of the seven games. In Denver’s Game 3 loss versus Phoenix, Jokic had 30 points with 17 rebounds and 17 assists. But even when Jokic is not posting a triple-double, he can still go over the 50.5 player prop total. He scored 53 points in Denver’s Game 4 loss to the Suns.
There just seems to be no stopping Jokic so his NBA odds will continue to be hefty. Miami is renowned to be an elite defense and is known to have low-scoring games – five of their last six games went under the total. And yet Jokic averaged better than a 30-point triple-double in the last two games.
Miami’s Answer: Bam Adebayo?
The Heat do not have a player anywhere near where Jokic is, respectfully. You can say that about most NBA teams. But Bam Adebayo could do almost everything Jokic does on offense, to a lesser extent. Adebayo can shoot the midrange jumper, rebound on both ends, and even make nifty passes.
That’s why his Heat vs Nuggets player props have him lined at 32.5 in total points, rebounds, and assists for Game 3. He averaged 20.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, and three assists in 38 NBA regular season home games. That’s where the “32” total likely comes from. But in some home playoff games, he’s had some underwhelming numbers and is likely why bettors have steamed the ‘under’ on his totals.
Adebayo would have gone under on his totals in six of his eight home games including his last three, all against Boston. His scoring tends to drop off at home. While he’s scored in double digits in every playoff game, five of his six lowest-scoring games all took place in Miami. He’s averaging 15.5 points at home. This is down from 18.9 on the road.
Still, Adebayo’s value to Miami is mainly on the defensive end. He’s considered one of the most “switchable” centers and can guard all five positions on the floor Against Jokic, Adebayo held him to just 46.7% shooting (7-of-15) while forcing two turnovers with just one assist.
If Adebayo can keep Jokic contained, the Heat should continue to prove the NBA Finals odds wrong. They are 2.5-point underdogs at home this Wednesday.
