Mavericks Backed to Beat Thunder in Game 6
Thunder vs Mavericks Lines

The Dallas Mavericks have taken control of the series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Game 6 could seal the series.
Thunder vs Mavericks lines aren’t getting carried away with Dallas. The -3.5 line is surprisingly short given how impressive it was in Game 5.
There is no tomorrow for the Thunder if they lose, so the Western Conference top seed could leave it all on the court.

Thunder Needing More
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has kept the Thunder in the series so far, but that pressure was too much for him on Wednesday.
The All-Star player didn’t have his best game, and the Thunder suffered. However, there’s no reason why he couldn’t fire back in Game 6 and force the Mavericks to win the series on the road.
It’s not all about Gilgeous-Alexander, as he needs the likes of Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams to do more. Holmgren has had good moments, but the runner-up in the Rookie of the Year race hasn’t done enough.
Their lack of experience is starting to show up against the experienced Mavericks team, and covering the +3.5 line could be tough.
The OKC Thunder roster isn’t packed with players that have experience in the playoffs. We saw that as a potential positive before the series, but after losing Game 5 at home, it’s clear they need an old head.
The NBA power rankings in the Western Conference have shifted, and most believe the Mavericks are the much stronger team.
However, Thunder vs Mavericks lines expect the Thunder to keep it close. That’s surprising, as we thought the line would be around +5.5.
We’re intrigued to see where the money goes on game day. Our expectation is that the Thunder could get +4.5 on Saturday.
Mighty Mavericks Making Moves
It was only a matter of time before the Mavericks started having playoff success, and now is that time.
After scoring a win on the road to take a 3-2 lead, they now control their destiny with Game 6 at home.
Their odds to win NBA Championship have firmed significantly, and if they get past the Thunder, they’ll either face the Nuggets or Timberwolves in the Western Conference finals.
However, they need to get past the Thunder as -170 favorites. They come off an impressive 104-92 win, and when the Dallas Mavericks score over 100 points, they have won every game this series.
Luka Doncic played with extreme confidence, scoring 31 points and giving out some excellent alley-oop dishes to his teammates.
“I’m just trying to play basketball, just focus on basketball,” Doncic said. “Sometimes I forget this is the thing I love, the thing I do. My mental focus was just go out there and play basketball with a smile on my face and just go.”
They can’t get ahead of themselves, having lost at home in this series.
“We know the last game we played against them at home, we let it go,” Doncic added. “It was our mistakes, and they hit shots.”
We can’t see them letting this opportunity slide. Losing and going back to Oklahoma City could spell the end of their playoff run.
Value with the Mavericks
Thunder vs Mavericks lines are too good to pass up for Game 6, so we are confidently locking in the Mavericks -3.5.
We would have been prepared to take a much higher line, and with momentum in their favor, and a wealth of experience, they should put the Thunder to bed.
Doncic has found his groove, and he appears to be enjoying basketball. If he shows that same level of enthusiasm as he did on Wednesday, they will cover the spread with ease.
The Thunder’s lack of situational experience counts against them, and we would want a +7.5 line to entertain their chances, despite being the higher seed.
Mavericks over 107.5 points is also worth backing. The offense is starting to fire up, and they scored 119 points earlier in the series.
They still have Kyrie Irving to get going on the offensive end, so they’re not lacking in natural scorers.
