NBA Scores and Recap: Tuesday Splits Across the Board

Market Performed Evenly on Four-Game Slate

Totals and Spreads Split

It was an uneventful day in the NBA marketplace with the full game totals and against-the-spread sides going 2-2 on a four-game slate. Let’s take a look at the NBA Scores and recap the Tuesday slate from across the league.

The Denver Nuggets and Milwaukee Bucks both covered as home favorites, while the San Antonio Spurs recorded an outright win as a home underdog. The Philadelphia 76ers were the only team to win as road underdogs in LA.

On a night where the average closing total was 228.5 points the market went 2-2 on the Over/Under totals. Both of the top totals saw big action on the Unders and both cashed as the Nuggets and Spurs games fell below the final number.

Nuggets Keep Rolling at Home

The Nuggets made it another wire-to-wire win on their home floor as they secured a 122-113 win over the Portland Trail Blazers to remain atop the NBA standings 2022-2023 in the west.

‘Denver covered the first quarter, first half and full game spread, but the latter did involve some unexpected point spread drama at the death.’

The Blazers closed out on a 14-3 run after the home side pulled their starters in what turned into a blowout win down the stretch. Denver dribbled out the 24 second shot clock on their final possession, but rather than returning the favor the Blazers attempted a pull-up jump shot from 3-point range with just eight second left to play.

Keon Johnson‘s attempt rimmed out and the Nuggets were able to cover the -7.0 point opening number, but it certainly didn’t come without a sweat for early bettors. That miss also secured a win for Unders bettors, with that potentially make the difference on a 237.5 point total.

Head coach Mike Malone missed the game as he entered Health & Safety protocols and that saw the line drop to -5.0 just before tip-off.

Nets, Clippers, Raptors Stumble Again

The Brooklyn Nets moved to 0-3 without Kevin Durant as they started their five-game road trip with a 106-98 loss in San Antonio.

The Spurs opened as 6.0-point underdogs, but closed as low as +1.5 points in some places as the late news came through regarding Kyrie Irving’s unavailability.

The visitors continue to struggle with their offense in the absence of their All-Star duo and coach Jacques Vaughn voiced a need for his team to play smarter and harder in order to pull through this road trip with some level of success.

The Clippers welcomed back Paul George from a hamstring strain but that wasn’t enough to help them overcome a 76ers team that made it three straight wins on this West Coast trip.

This game saw some late market movement towards LA once it was confirmed that George would start for the home team but another poor fourth quarter saw them walk away with a 120-110 loss. The market did show some late support on the Over and that proved to be correct on a night where Joel Embiid led all scorers with 41 points.

The Toronto Raptors continue to struggle with consistency on the road as they were 130-122 losers in Milwaukee.

‘The home side were again without Giannis Antetokounmpo, with the Greek Freak missing his fourth straight game.’

The Raptors closed as 1.5-point underdogs but received plenty of market support even after the bookmakers adjusted the markets for Antetokounmpo’s absence. After re-opening at +2.5 Toronto got pushed as low as a PK in some spots before tip-off.

That’s all for the best NBA bets. Make sure to check back tomorrow as we continue to review the NBA scores and recap the markets.
