Home Favorites Have Perfect Night

The LA Clippers and Miami Heat both record straight up and ATS win no their home floor as favorites dominated the board for bettors. Let’s dive into our NBA Wednesday Games Recap to see what happened around the league.

The Clippers secured a big 134-126 division win over the Golden State Warriors as they move to within 0.5 games of the #4 seed in the NBA conference standings out West.

The home side closed as 3.0-point favorites and they made light work of a Golden State defense that still hasn’t shown itself capable of doing a job on the road.

The Warriors are now 8-24 (25%) ATS on the road this season, which is the worst record in the league by some margin. The defending champs are also 4-10 (28.6%) ATS against division opponents.

The Heat picked up an important 138-119 home win as they took care of the visiting Memphis Grizzlies.

Miami’s offense exploded in a big way against one the best defenses in the league as they put up their best score of the season. The Heat had seven players score in double-figures, with Bam Adebayo leading the way on 26 points.

This game comfortably soared Over the 218.0 point closing total, with Memphis now 15-10-1 (60%) to the Over in non-conference matchups this season.

Lakers Drop Key Game, Mavs Stumble to a Win

The LA Lakers went down 114-110 at the Houston Rockets as the home team recorded back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

The Lakers were without Anthony Davis or LeBron James and the offense struggled to create good looks against one of the worst defensive units in the league. The loss leaves LA in the #10 seed, just 0.5 games up on the Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans behind them.

The Dallas Mavericks almost lost another unthinkable game as they needed OT to overcome the San Antonio Spurs 137-128.

The Mavs were again without Luka Doncic or Kyrie Irving, but were able to escape with a win thanks to having five players finish with 20+ points.

Christian Wood led the way in his return to the rotations, finishing with 28 points and 13 rebounds in his 28 minutes of action. The win helps the Mavs keep hold of the #8 seed as they look to gather some momentum heading into the final weeks of the season.

Sixers Down Cavs, Kings Beam on the Road

The Philadelphia 76ers picked up a big road win in Cleveland as they downed the Cavaliers 118-109.

The Cavs were playing their second of a back-to-back and were without starting centre Jarrett Allen on a night where they probably needed him most.

The Sixers closed the game on an 8-2 run to secure the win as the covered the -2.5 point spread.MVP candidate Joel Embiid finished with 36 points and 18 rebounds as he dominated the paint and continued to assert himself as the strongest rival to Nikola Jokic for the league’s top regular season award.

Philadelphia improved to 39-28-1 (58.2%) ATS on the season making them one of the most profitable NBA betting lines teams in the league.

The Sacramento Kings moved back to the #2 spot in the Western Conference as they walked away with a 117-114 win at the Chicago Bulls.

The Bulls took a 10-point lead into halftime before the Kings found their offensive rhythm, putting up 69 points in the second half to earn their 41st win of the season.

The Kings closed as 1.5-point favorites in this one after Alex Caruso was ruled out for the home team. Mike Brown’s side are now 11-5 (68.8%) ATS as road favorites this season.

The Boston Celtics held on for a tense 104-102 road win over the Minnesota Timberwolves to ensure they maintain a grip on the #2 seed in the East.

Anthony Edwards and Kyle Anderson were ejected in the final seconds of the game as the Timberwolves were unable to do enough down the stretch against an impressive Celtics defense.

Despite the loss the Timberwolves did cover the +4.5 point spread as they improved to 11-4 (73.3%) ATS as home underdogs this season.
