NBA Wednesday Scores: Home Teams Bounce Back

Points Slow Down in Midweek Action

Suns Win Big, But Lose KD

The Phoenix Suns endured somewhat of a mixed night as they recorded a comfortable 132-101 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, but lost Kevin Durant in pre-game warm ups. Let’s dive into the NBA Wednesday Scores and see what happened around the league.

The Suns moved to 4-0 straight up and ATS since Durant made his debut for the team, but he didn’t take the floor after twisting his ankle in pre-game warm ups. Durant was seen leaving the arena in a walking boot and the focus now is on how long he’ll be out of action.

The win also saw the Suns improve to 17-13-1 (56.7%) ATS at home this season as they covered the 11.0-point spread in this one.

The LA Clippers picked up a much-needed home win over the Toronto Raptors as they secured a 108-100 win.

The Clippers closed as 2.5-point favorites and moved back into the #6 seed in a log-jammed Western Conference. LA came in with a notable rest advantage and it showed coming out of half-time as the home team used a 13-2 run late in the third quarter to open up a sizeable lead that they maintained until the final buzzer.

The Raptors now sit 1.5 games back in the 9th seed in the Eastern Conference as they continue this West coast road trip. The team is still one of the best NBA point spread teams when it comes to being road underdogs, going 12-9 (57.1%) on the season – the fifth best ATS win percentage in the league in those spots.

Celtics Impressive at Home, Mavs Stumble Again

The Boston Celtics snapped their three-game skid with a 115-93 home win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Boston closed as 9.5-point favorites and never looked in doubt as they opened up a 15-point lead going into halftime. Jayson Tatum led the way for Boston with 30 points on an efficient 11-for-17 shooting from the field.

The Blazers now drop to 10-16 (38.5%) ATS against Eastern Conference opponents this season.

The Dallas Mavericks were dealt a double blow as they were outright losers as 2.5-point favorites on the road to the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Pelicans earned a 113-106 home win to keep their play-in hopes alive following news that Zion Williamson was still at least a couple weeks away from returning to action.

The injury news hit hard for Dallas in this one as well as Luka Doncic was forced from the game in the second half with a thumb injury. Doncic said after the game that it felt “not good” and will need an MRI to assess to extent of the injury.

The Mavs are currently an NBA-worst 23-41-3 (35.9%) ATS on the season and are 12-20 (37.5%) ATS as a road favorite.

Cavs, Bulls Impress on the Road

The Cleveland Cavaliers recorded a tough 104-100 road win over the Miami Heat as they look to solidify their spot in the top four of the Eastern Conference.

Two of the NBA’s best half court defenses combined to allow just 35 total points in the fourth quarter and help keep this game comfortably Under the 215.0 point total despite the game looking to clear that number with ease for the majority of the contest.

The Cavs are now 22-14-3 (61.1%) ATS against Eastern Conference teams this season. They are also 22-17 (56.4%) to the Under in conference action to match.

The Chicago Bulls continue their push for a play-in spot as well as they recorded a huge 117-96 win on the road against the Denver Nuggets.

The Bulls closed as 9.0-point underdogs and were the biggest underdog winners, paying +350 on the Moneyline.

In the nights early tip-off the Atlanta Hawks picked up an important 122-120 win on the road to the Washington Wizards in a key division showdown.

The game featured some late point spread drama for bettors as a Kristaps Porzingis buzzer-beater 3-pointer saw the Wizards cover the +3.5-point spread.

Full game totals went 5-2 in favor of Unders bettors as things begin to flip back after a crazy week of high-scoring action across the board.
