Sun Look to Shine Against Clark’s Fever… Again
Sun vs Fever WNBA Odds Favor Sun Like the First Game

The Sun vs Fever WNBA odds have the Sun favored -6.5 with a total set at 164. We have a matchup of the season opener of the Sun vs Fever. In their last game, the Sun defeated the Fever easily, winning 92-71 while covering the -6.5 point line, and going under the 166.5 point total.
Caitlin Clark’s WNBA debut was the center of everyone’s attention, but the NCAA all-time leading scorer struggled initially against the Connecticut Sun’s stifling defense. Though she finished with a respectable 20 points, a WNBA debut record 10 turnovers marred her performance.
The much-hyped Clark started the game scoreless in the first quarter. She missed the first four shots of her WNBA career. After the first, she drained four three-pointers, including one from way deep. Despite getting 20 points from Clark and 13 from Nalyssa Smith, the Fever could not overcome their 25 turnovers.
The Sun controlled the game, led by Alyssa Thomas’ triple-double (13 points, 13 assists, 10 rebounds). DeWanna Bonner added 20 points, surpassing Candice Dupree for fifth place on the WNBA’s all-time scoring list.
Brionna Jones, returning from an Achilles injury, added eight points in limited minutes.
Both these teams hope to get into the WNBA playoff bracket by the end of the season. Getting off to a strong start will be key for a playoff-worthy season.
The Sun seems to be starting on the right foot, but the Fever needs to start stringing together wins as soon as possible.

Can’t Catch a Win
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are not off to the best of starts. The Fever are 0-3 and have lost each game by at least 20 points.
Their first game was against the Connecticut Sun, who they face again Monday, and their next two were back-to-back blowouts against the New York Liberty.
In their second game of the season, the Fever got walloped 102-66 by the Liberty. Breanna Stewart was incredible, dropping 31 points and 10 rebounds.
Clark struggled mightily going 1-for-7 from the 3-point line and only putting in nine points and six assists. Aliyah Boston led the scoring for the Fever scoring 12 points. But she too was inefficient shooting 5-of-15 from the field.
On Saturday the Fever lost again. The Liberty’s starting five all scored in double figures. Clark played much better in her second shot against Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, and the rest of the Liberty. She went 9-of-17 from the field putting in a team-high 22 points.

DeWanna Bonner and DiJonai Carrington led the scoring for the Sun, with 22 points and 21 points each. Alyssa Thomas finished with 13 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists in a solid all-around performance.
The Sun’s defense, however, was the difference maker for Connecticut, forcing 22 turnovers and 26 points off turnovers in the game.
Losing Streak
