WNBA: Sun vs Aces Final Odds: Game 3
Connecticut Sun Host Las Vegas Aces, Down 2-0 in Series
Sun vs Aces Final Odds: The Connecticut Sun host the Las Vegas Aces for Game 3 of the WNBA Finals. While Connecticut was able to keep Game 1 close, the Aces ran away with Game 2 handily. Chelsea Gray, A’Ja Wilson, and Kelsey Plum each had big games for the Aces, scoring at least 20 points apiece.
If the Sun wants to keep their season alive, they are going to need similar production from Jonquel Jones, Alyssa Thomas, and DeWanna Bonner on Thursday night. The Sun vs Aces Final Odds opened at Sun -1 but have moved to Sun -1.5 with the total opening at 161 and moving down to 160. Stay tuned to the WNBA injury report.
- Game: Connecticut Sun (25-11) at Chicago Sky (26-10)
- Location: Mohegan Sun Arena
After Game 1 in which Las Vegas’ offense looked a bit out of sync thanks in large part to Connecticut’s defense, they were able to come back in Game 2 and play their style of basketball.
While they only shot 23% from three-point land, they shot just over 51% from the field and finally got significant production from star Kelsey Plum. Plum had struggled offensively in Game 1 of the finals and throughout the entire series against the Seattle Storm. However, with 20 points in Game 2, it seems as if her game is back on track, something the Aces have been waiting for.
Between Plum, Wilson, and Gray, Las Vegas offense is going to be hard for the Sun to stop, which is why we like the Aces to win Game 3 and sweep the series.
Nearly everything went right for the Connecticut Sun in Game 1. They held the Aces to their lowest scoring total all season, allowing just 63 points.
They also forced Vegas to play their style of basketball in which they like to muddy the game up and play at a slow pace. The Sun was dominant in the paint and won the rebounding battle.
Despite all that going right for Connecticut, they still lost. In Game 2, Vegas made adjustments that Connecticut couldn’t keep up with and the outcome was a 14-point loss for the Sun. That makes us concerned for the Sun in this Game because Vegas has all the momentum coming into Game 3.
If you’re someone who likes to play things safe, we would recommend taking the points with the Aces. We’re bound to get Connecticut’s best effort tonight which, as we saw in Game 1, resulted in a close game.
We think the more valuable Sun vs Aces Final odds play is on the Aces Moneyline at +100. If the Aces play anything as they did on Tuesday, this is likely to be another win for Becky Hammon and company, and by a margin.
The total for Games 2 and 3 dropped significantly from where it opened for Game 1 at 169. The books have adjusted and WNBA final odds for the total for Game 3 sits at 160.
We would recommend taking the under. Connecticut’s best shot at winning this game is to slow the pace down significantly, make it messy, and milk each possession, which is bound to make this a lower-scoring affair.Follow us on Twitter
