Big 12 Games Odds and Predictions: Week Ends With Huge Saturday Card
Iowa State Favored Over TCU in Meeting of Ranked Teams

The Big 12 games odds and predictions for the week have a huge Saturday card, along with a solid game on Wednesday. The game of the week is going to be a top 10 battle between Baylor and Kansas but there are other games worth watching. It’s another strong week of Big 12 Conference play, which is no surprise given the strength of the Big 12.
Wednesday, Feb. 15
The Big 12 games odds and predictions begin with a battle of ranked teams in No. 22 TCU (17-8) and No. 19 Iowa State Cyclones. The NCAAB odds have Iowa State -4 and a total of 134.5. The two defenses carry the teams, but both offenses are solid in their own right. Iowa State won the first meeting between the two 69-67 at TCU, so the Horned Frogs will be looking to make amends in what should be a close game. Iowa State hit a late 3-pointer to win the first game. The Cyclones were just 3 for 9 at the foul line. TCU struggled a bit, going 16 for 28, well below the team’s 71.3% average. The Horned Frogs are worth a look at the current number.
Saturday, Feb. 18
The Big 12 games odds and predictions open with an early game between Texas Tech and West Virginia. The college basketball betting lines should have West Virginia close to an 8-point favorite with a total near 145. There’s no real defensive edge for either team. But, the Mountaineers are much better offensively ranking No. 18 in adjusted efficiency compared to Texas Tech at No. 77. The Red Raiders shoot better than their efficiency rating suggests. They simply make too many turnovers. West Virginia cruised to victory at Texas Tech and the Red Raiders are capable of playing much better. But West Virginia’s home court advantage is one of the best in the nation.
Another tough game for Iowa State, as Kansas State will be close to 4-point favorites with a total near 137. Iowa State won the first game of the year between the two, so the Wildcats are looking to even the score. Iowa State has dropped its last five Big 12 road games and things shouldn’t get any easier in this one. The Wildcats are coming off a tough game with Oklahoma and believe they’re worth a look at KSU-4.5 or less.
The Horned Frogs should be close to 4-point favorites here with a total close to 135. TCU likes to push the tempo a bit but points aren’t going to come easy against Oklahoma State’s defense, which is one of the best around. TCU is no defensive slouch and is a better shooting team than Oklahoma State. These two played a surprisingly high-scoring game earlier this year, which OSI won 79-73. Both defenses should play better in this one and the under could be worth a look in this spot.
The Longhorns are going to be close to double-digit favorites in this one with a total near 144. The Longhorns won 70-69 at Oklahoma already this season, so shouldn’t be looking past the Sooners. Oklahoma can play defense but doesn’t force many turnovers, so its efficiency rating doesn’t reflect how good it is. The Sooner defense has a lower defensive effective field goal percentage than the Longhorns. Texas likes to play up-tempo, while the Sooners will look to play more of a half-court game. If the Sooners can cut down on the turnovers, they have a great chance to cover the lofty spread in this spot.
The Big 12 games odds and predictions have Baylor visiting Kansas in the best college basketball game of the day. Both teams are ranked in the top 10 for this revenge game for the Jayhawks. Kansas will be about 4-point favorites with a total near 150. Fifteen turnovers were too much for Kansas to overcome in the first meeting but it should be different at home. There is no weak spot for either team. But Baylor’s defense isn’t as good as the offense. Kansas will try to push the tempo, something it was unable to do in the first meeting. Kansas is worth a look as long as the line remains below Kansas -5.
