March Madness Final Four: NC State vs Purdue Props & Final Score

We've Added Five NC State vs Purdue Props For The Final Four Game!

NC State vs Purdue Final Score

Betting Preview

The NC State Wolfpack finished the regular season 17-13. After the regular season, head coach Kevin Keatts was on the hot seat after underachieving with four graduate seniors in the starting lineup.

But something eventually clicked. The Wolfpack won five consecutive games in the ACC Tournament to not only win the ACC but also earn a berth into the NCAA Tournament.

When the Wolfpack made the NCAA Tournament, they were given an 11-seed. They were an afterthought for many March Madness bracket predictions.

But with four more consecutive wins, the Wolfpack are now in the Final Four after massive wins over Texas Tech, Oakland, Marquette, and Duke.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

The college basketball world has fallen in love with DJ Burns, who has played tremendously well at center. DJ Horne is another player who has dominated the Tournament. Those two and the rest of the Wolfpack will now take on the Purdue Boilermakers in the Final Four.

Purdue lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament last season to Fairleigh Dickinson as a No. 1 seed. Heading into this season, the Boilermakers were always looking for redemption. They saw Virginia lose to UMBC and then win the NCAA Tournament less than ten years ago and figured they could be next.

Now they’re just two games away from making that a reality. Purdue has a legitimate chance with the best college basketball player on their side.

That’s because Purdue is a 9.5-point favorite (-106), with the total at 146.5.

That said, let’s take a look at some of the best NC State vs Purdue props for this Final Four matchup.

Zach Edey Over 25.5 Points (-125)

Zach Edey doesn’t always show high emotion while playing basketball. While he will make gestures after big plays and yell a little bit, he isn’t known for being a super loud individual.

But you could see how much the Elite Eight game meant to him. Not only was he animated during the game against Tennessee, but he was also vocal after the game.

Edey produced 40 points and 16 rebounds in 39 minutes after a 72-66 win against Tennessee. The AP Player of the Year and Big Ten Player of the Year played out of his mind to help Purdue reach the Final Four.

After the game, he went right to head coach Matt Painter to hug him. Again, you can see how much this means to him.

That said, NC State allowed 49.2% from inside the arc this season, which was 121st in the NBA. The Wolfpack also allowed 29% of offensive rebounds per game this season, which is only good for 181st in the nation. On top of that, Purdue should win the foul-shooting battle and get more attempts. Edey will be at the line a lot.

We’d back Over 25.5 points here.

DJ Burns Under 14.5 Points (-110)

For all of the reasons why we’re taking Edey’s Over, we’re taking Burns’ under. Burns had a massive game against Duke, but he also scored just four points in 27 minutes against Marquette on four shot attempts.

He’s not nearly as consistent as Edey and won’t have easy buckets against Edey either. After all, Purdue has held teams to 47.6% around the rim and limited opponents to 24% of offensive rebounds, which is 13th best in the nation. Burns won’t have easy looks or add many second chances.

Braden Smith Over 6.5 Assists (-145)

Braden Smith doesn’t get enough camera time and media conversation. But he’s a big reason why the Boilermakers are in the Final Four. Because of the lack of attention, his NC State vs Purdue props are still enticing.

Smith added nine points but also grabbed seven rebounds and seven assists against Tennessee in the win. Smith is a terrific facilitator and understands his role and job. He knows that lobs to Edey in the paint are ideal and typically throws some really good balls into the paint for Edey to grab and score.

Smith has also added at least seven assists in 62% of games this season and has hit this line in seven of his last ten games, including the previous two. Back his Over.

Lance Jones Over 2.5 Rebounds (-155)

Lance Jones will likely play at least 30 minutes in this game. While he’s in the game to shoot threes, running around on the court without adding three rebounds in 30 minutes as a 6-foot-1 guard is hard.

Jones has nailed this line in six of his last ten and added four rebounds against Tennessee to cash in this Over the previous weekend.

We’re just asking for one rebound every ten minutes from Jones! Therefore, take these NCAAB odds for Jones.

Mohamed Diarra Under 10.5 Rebounds (-125)

Mohamed Diarra faced off against Duke’s Kyle Filipowski and Ryan Young in the Elite Eight. In that game, he tallied 23 minutes with only seven rebounds. He also went 1-for-6 from the field and scored three points.

His Under is undoubtedly on our radar this weekend for our NC State vs Purdue props.

That game against Duke was the first game where he didn’t make a massive impact in the NCAA Tournament. It was due to foul trouble. As we stated earlier, it’s likely Purdue will earn more fouls and see the line more in this game.

There’s also a great chance that Diarra is one of the culprits with the fouls. He’s ultimately hit 11 or more rebounds in only 33% of games this season.

While he’s had a fun run in Tournament play, going up against Purdue will be too big of a challenge for Diarra to add a bunch of rebounds. Don’t add Diarra in your picks and parlays NCAAB unless it’s for the Under.
