The Hurricanes put up some impressive offensive numbers in the preseason. But it’s been a lot tougher to get the offense on track in ACC play. Miami is No. 10 in KenPom’s offensive efficiency ratings for ACC games. The Hurricanes aren’t shooting particularly well and are making too many turnovers.
Miami hasn’t gotten to the foul line much in ACC action, scoring 15.5% of its points from the charity stripe. Miami has the third-shortest possession time in conference games, which has helped its point production.

The Clemson defense struggles a bit defending the 3-pointer where it allows 36.3% shooting. The Tigers are decent defending the paint and preventing offensive rebounds. Clemson doesn’t force a lot of turnovers and sends teams to the foul line a little too much.
What to Expect
The main thing to expect here is for the Tigers to put more emphasis on defense. Miami scored 60 points in the second half of the first meeting between the two. Clemson led 43-35 early in the second half, but were outscored 60-39 the remainder of the NCAAB game. The Hurricanes shot 53% from the field and were 11 of 24 from 3-point range.
Miami likes to play at a little quicker pace than the Tigers, but Clemson should look to slow it down a bit after the first meeting.
Who to Bet On?
