2024 NCAAF Cheat Sheet: Georgia Bulldogs Stats & Odds
After Missing the 2023 Playoffs, Georgia Is Favored to Win It All

It was another impressive season for the Georgia Bulldogs with just one loss even though coming up short against Alabama in the SEC championship game kept the Bulldogs out of the College Football Playoff field and prevented Georgia from having a chance to win its third consecutive national title. When looking at the 2024 Georgia Bulldogs stats, other win-loss numbers were not quite as impressive. Georgia was 11th out of 14 SEC teams with a 5-8-1 record against the spread a season ago. Georgia was 2-4-1 ATS as the home team and 1-3 when playing on the road. Half of the Bulldogs’ 14 games went over the total.
Georgia is being viewed as the favorite to make it three national titles in the last four years. The Bulldogs should be at No. 1 when the NCAA football rankings are released.

Beck Ready to Strike the Heisman Pose?
The discussion around the returning Georgia players begins with quarterback Carson Beck.
Beck (+900) trails only Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers in the NCAAF odds of winning the Heisman Trophy.
Running back Roderick Robinson showed some of his potential in the Orange Bowl. Receiver Dominic Lovett could be ready for a breakout season. Tate Ratledge, an All-SEC pick in 2023, leads the offensive line.
When it comes to the 2024 Georgia Bulldogs stats, the defense could be elite again. Second-leading tackler Smael Mondon, defensive back Malaki Starks, and linebacker C.J. Allen are defensive returnees to keep an eye on.
It was business as usual with eight more Georgia players selected in the NFL Draft in April. The first player from the Georgia Bulldogs taken in the 2024 Draft was tight end Brock Bowers as he went 13th overall to the Las Vegas Raiders. Offensive tackle Amarius Mims was also a first-round pick.
Defensive back Ellis Robinson and linebacker Justin Williams were top-10 national recruits. Safety KJ Bolden, and linebacker Chris Cole are other incoming freshmen to watch.
The college football rankings show that Georgia ended up with the top-rated recruiting class by 247sports.com.
Vanderbilt receiver London Humphreys, Miami receiver Colbie Young, and Florida running back Trevor Etienne are the top incoming transfers for Georgia.
Championship Odds: The Bulldogs Have Plenty of Bark and Bite
With the way that Georgia manhandled Florida State in the Orange Bowl left many to wonder if the Bulldogs would have made it three straight national titles if they were one of the four college football teams in the College Football Playoff field.
As usual, there are some holes to fill due to the Georgia players headed to the NFL. However, a lack of talent is not an issue with Georgia after another top-rated recruiting class comes to Athens.
Five of the top six rated classes of incoming transfers belong to SEC programs so it will not be easy for the Bulldogs in the upcoming season. The SEC adding 2023 College Football Playoff semifinalist Texas as well as Oklahoma will make things a little more challenging.
Georgia jumps right into the fray with a matchup with ACC powerhouse Clemson in the Aflac Kickoff at Mercedezs-Benz Stadium in Atlanta in the season opener on Aug. 31. The NCAAF picks have Georgia as a 13½-point favorite.
Conference Odds: The Bulldogs Are the Team to Beat
The addition of Texas does increase the degree of difficulty for the rest of the SEC. Georgia heads to Austin to face the Longhorns on Oct. 19 in what could be the game of the year in college football.
- The Bulldogs are currently favored by 1½ points in that game.
Georgia and Alabama usually meet in the SEC championship game. However, the Sept. 28 clash of the SEC titans will be the earliest meeting between the teams since 2008.
The final two conference games in the regular season won’t be easy with Georgia traveling to Ole Miss on Nov. 9 and a week later, the Bulldogs will be at home versus Tennessee.
Regular Season Wins: The Bar Is Set High Once Again
Welcome to life as a Georgia Bulldog where two losses in the regular season would keep Georgia from going over the expected regular-season win total of 10½.
Even if Georgia happens to stumble against Texas, the Bulldogs should be favored in the remainder of the NCAAF games during the regular season.
Playing Texas, Alabama, and Ole Miss on the road will make the Bulldogs earn their way to another double-digit win season.
The last time Georgia opened the season against Clemson, the Tigers had two plays in Georgia territory on their final drive with a chance to tie the game or go in front with a two-point conversion.
Can Clemson make the Bulldogs sweat it out again? A loss by Georgia in the season opener would certainly alter the regular-season win odds just a little bit.
To Make Playoffs: Picking Against Georgia Is A Sucker’s Bet
If the College Football Playoff field remained at four teams, Georgia would be viewed as a solid bet to earn a CFP bid. With it expanded to 12 teams, it might take an act of Congress to keep Georgia out of the College Football Playoffs this year.
The Bulldogs could very well be favored in every game this NCAAF season.
Georgia has been favored in every game during the 2022 and 2023 seasons and has been listed as the underdog just three times since the start of the 2019 season. It should be more of the same this season.
Side Bets
There is already plenty of money coming in on Beck to win the Heisman Trophy after he threw for 3941 yards while completing 72% of his passes in his first season as the starting quarterback for the Bulldogs. The 2024 Georgia Bulldogs stats could see Beck top those numbers.
- Trevor Etienne is coming in at +7000 in the Heisman Trophy odds.
It might take a little courage to go with the running back to win the award with the way quarterbacks have dominated the Heisman voting in recent years.
- Beck is the current favorite at +350 to be the first college football player chosen in the 2025 NFL Draft.
