2024 NCAAF Cheat Sheet: Ole Miss Rebels Stats & Odds
2024 Ole Miss Rebels Stats Could See Another 10-Win Season
Star QB Dart, Rebels Target SEC and National Titles in 2024
Ole Miss has won 29 games over the last three seasons, matching the most in program history since Johnny Vaught led the school to a 29-2-1 record from 1960 to 1962. The Rebels were knocking on the door in their quest to be national champions back in the early 1960s, and now Lane Kiffin’s team is trying to do the same.
Ole Miss won a program-record 11 games in 2023. What will the final victory total be when looking at the 2024 Ole Miss Rebels stats?
Ole Miss was picked to finish fourth in the preseason SEC poll behind Georgia, Texas, and Alabama. Receiver Tre Harris, tight end Caden Prieskorn, and defensive lineman Walter Nolen all were named to the preseason All-SEC first team.
The Rebels are sixth in both the Associated Press and American Football Coaches Association preseason polls.
The Rebels were 9-0 outright as a favorite last season and 7-0 at home. That includes 4-2-1 ATS at home and 5-2-2 as the favorite. A quick look at the NCAAF lines reveals that Ole Miss was 2-2 ATS as an underdog. Just one of the five road games landed under the total.
Ole Miss headed into last season with +10000 odds of winning the national title and came in at +4500 in the SEC championship odds. The Rebels were priced at -120 to go over 7.5 wins during the regular season. They won their eighth game with three games left in the regular season.

Rebels Look To Roll
Jaxson Dart had the last of his five 300-yard passing games in a win over Penn State in the Peach Bowl. He finished with 3,364 yards, 23 touchdown passes and five interceptions. He had no touchdown passes and two interceptions in losses to Georgia and Alabama as the Rebels fell short of reaching the SEC championship game.
Harris led the Rebels with 985 receiving yards and eight touchdowns as three of the top four pass catchers return for Ole Miss. Keep that in mind when looking at the 2024 Ole Miss Rebels stats.
Ulysses Bentley averaged 5.7 yards per carry and Matt Jones was at 6.6 yards on his 12 carries. Both could have larger roles following the departure of Quinshon Judkins. Miami transfer Henry Parrish is another option at running back.
Three starters return on the offensive line with Washington transfer Nate Kalepo expected to make an immediate impact. Because of that, scoring shouldn’t be an issue for Ole Miss.
Two of the top five tacklers are off to the NFL, but Ole Miss plucked productive players from some of its SEC rivals. Even with star running back Judkins now at Ohio State, Ole Miss put together the nation’s top-ranked transfer class.
Texas A&M defensive lineman Walter Nolen, Florida edge rusher Princely Omanmielen, South Carolina receiver Antwane Wells, Alabama cornerback Trey Amos, Arkansas linebacker Chris Paul, South Alabama safety Yam Banks, Virginia Tech tight end Dae’Quan Wright, and LSU running back Logan Diggs lead the list of incoming transfers.
Offensive lineman William Echoles, defensive linemen Kam Franklin, and Jeffrey Rush are the top high school signees with Deion Smith and Marquis Willis being two of the top junior college transfers.
Championship Odds: Is This The Year For the Rebels?
Ole Miss has been overshadowed by SEC rivals Georgia and Alabama in recent years with three losses to Alabama and another to Georgia in the last three seasons. Ultimately, that’s that’s kept Ole Miss out of the College Football Playoffs.
With the CFP tripling in size from four to 12 schools, the Rebels’ national title chances have improved.
Games against Furman, Middle Tennessee, Wake Forest, and Georgia Southern come before SEC play gets underway. The Wake Forest game is on the road, but the Rebels will be expected to be 4-0 before the start of the conference season.
Conference Odds: Rebels Eye A Spot In SEC Title Game
Alabama is not on the schedule for Ole Miss this season. Neither is SEC newcomer Texas, which left the Big 12 along with Oklahoma. There is a Nov. 9 matchup with Georgia at home. This is one of the college football scores that could impact the title race in the SEC. A game at LSU could be tricky as well. There is also a home matchup with Oklahoma, one of three against ranked teams during SEC play.
A bye week between the LSU and Oklahoma games could prove beneficial, but the four-game stretch against LSU, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Georgia could make or break the SEC title hopes for the Rebels.
Regular Season Wins: Ole Miss Can Hit Double Digits Again
Even if Ole Miss loses to favorite Georgia, the Rebels may need to simply split with LSU and Oklahoma to finish the regular season with 10 wins. Then again, Ole Miss is just 4-7 in its last 11 games against ranked opponents, so its schedule could raise questions when projecting the 2024 Ole Miss Rebels stats.
Rival Mississippi State is expected to finish near the bottom of the SEC standings. However, it would be dangerous to assume a win against the Bulldogs even if the Rebels have won three of the last four Egg Bowls.
To Make Playoffs: Expanded Playoffs Should Benefit Ole Miss
In past years, Ole Miss needed to reach the SEC championship game and perhaps even win that contest to have a chance at making the CFP.
With multiple SEC teams again in the mix, Ole Miss needs to win the games it is supposed to win to make the most of its season.
There might be some growing pains early as the transfers get comfortable with new systems and teammates. However, when making NCAAF predictions, this is probably not a team you want to see in November or December.
Side Bets
Three of the top four contenders for the Heisman Trophy are fellow SEC quarterbacks, but at +1200, could some take a chance on Dart? It’s certainly possible.
Dart offers solid value at +550 to lead the SEC in passing yards.
He’s a bigger longshot on the 2025 NFL Draft board, priced +2000 to go first overall.
It might be a little risky to roll with Bentley at +1400 to lead the SEC in rushing yards. Tre Harris (+600) and Antwane Wells Jr. (+700) trail only Missouri’s Luther Burden III in the odds to lead the SEC in receiving yards.
