Receiver Andy Jean and tight end Jonathan Odom (9 catches) are questionable for Florida with receiver Caleb Douglas (11 catches), linebacker Shemar James (54 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss), safety Kamari Wilson and tight end Dante Zanders are all out.

The big news could be the availability of LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels. The Heisman Trophy candidate was knocked out of the loss to Alabama with a concussion and he is questionable for the game.

Defensive backs Zy Alexander (44 tackles, two interceptions), Greg Brooks (8 tackles, two pass breakups), JK Johnson and Darian Chestnut as well as running back Armoni Goodwin are out for the Tigers.

When looking at the NCAA football schedule and odds, Florida ends the regular season with three straight games against ranked teams.

LSU fell five spots to No. 19 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings. The Tigers are 18th in the Associated Press poll and 19th in the American Football Coaches Association poll.

Gators Look To Get Going

There are many numbers that illustrate the issues with the Florida team in 2023 but perhaps none more than the fact that the Gators.

Florida hasn’t led at the end of the first quarter in its last six games and hasn’t been in front in any of its SEC games this season. That will factor into the Florida vs LSU betting lines.

That has put a lot of pressure on the Florida passing game. Former Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz, who has 11 touchdown passes and no interceptions over the last four games and he will need to come through for Florida to have a chance to pull off the upset. Florida twice led by seven points in the first half before LSU took control in the 2022 matchup.
