2024 Caleb Williams Season Odds: Bears QB With High Totals
Williams Will Have to be as Good as Advertised to Cash Tickets

There has been plenty of hype surrounding Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams. We’ll have to wait and see what he can do on the field, as the Chicago Bears schedule has the team’s first preseason game on Thursday.
Chicago’s coaching staff has already said he and the other starters won’t play in the Hall of Fame Game. That’s reflected in the NFL odds this week. As is always the case, there’s addedpressure on the No. 1 overall draft pick.
Williams will feel that this season, but could be the one to end the streak of first-overall draft picks struggling out of the gate. Trevor Lawrence, Travon Walker, and Bryce Young went through the expected growing pains in their rookie seasons. Those who bet on Williams hope not to see any of that, as the 2024 Caleb Williams season odds totals are pretty lofty. We’ll run down the primary wagers on Williams here.

Offensive Rookie of the Year +140
Williams is a big favorite to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year, but it’s far from a given. There were plenty of talented offensive players taken in the first round of the NFL Draft. Williams could have a strong rookie season and still be beaten by somebody else. There’s that much potential coming into the league.
The main thing Williams has in his favor is he’ll be the starter from Day 1. Several of the other quarterbacks can’t say the same thing, even those expected to be starting before the season is up.
Offensive Player of the Year +6000
Williams is +6000 to win the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award and at least he’s in good company. Kyler Murray and Dak Prescott are also +6000 in an award that’s difficult for quarterbacks to win. Running backs and receivers tend to fare better here, with quarterbacks doing well in the MVP award race.
NFL MVP +6000
Williams is also +6000 to win the NFL Most Valuable Player award and it’s a longshot. There are 20 other quarterbacks with shorter odds than Williams. He’d also have to beat out the likes of Christian McCaffrey.
The rookie might be good to bet in the weekly NFL player props, but MVP is probably asking for too much out of the upstart.
NFL Passing Yards Leader +2800
The 2024 Caleb Williams season odds have him at +2800 to lead the league in passing yards. He does have some good wide receivers to throw the ball to, but he also has to go head-to-head with the other quarterbacks in the league.
Chicago may throw a lot this season, which will help Williams compile some stats, but it’s still going to be a tall order. Tua Tagovailoa led the NFL last year with 4,624 passing yards. It’s doubtful Williams will get to that level in his first season.
NFL Passing Touchdowns Leader +2200
The odds are a little bit lower on Williams throwing the most touchdowns in the league. It’s a case where a Rookie of the Year type season could still see him coming in third or fourth in this spot. Even those expectations are likely to be a bit on the high side. Chicago can run the ball, which might make it tougher for Williams to get those 2- and 3-yard touchdown passes some teams get on a regular basis.
Caleb Williams Over/Under 3500.5 Passing Yards (-115 Both Ways)
The 2024 Caleb Williams season odds are pretty ambitious here, with the total on his passing yards at 3500.5. That’s a higher total than quarterbacks like Murray, Lamar Jackson, Geno Smith, and Derek Carr. Chicago would like to move from the run so much, but not want to abandon it completely.
The presence of Williams could open things up for the running game, while the threat of a run game could make it easier to throw. If the passing game and the ground attack work in tandem, it won’t help the stats, but it will help the team. The under makes the most sense here.
Caleb Williams Over/Under 23.5 Passing Touchdowns (-115 Both Ways)
This one isn’t out of the question for Williams to go over the number. A lot of it will be determined by Chicago’s short-yardage rushing game. If the Bears can run the ball into the end zone on 2nd-and-goal from the 2, that’s what they’ll do. If the Bears need to throw, they’ll do that also.
Despite being No. 2 in rushing yards last year, the Bears were tied for No. 11 in rushing touchdowns. Chicago quarterbacks managed to throw for 19 TDs last year. Williams should be able to get that many this season.
