2024 NFL Cheat Sheet: Los Angeles Rams Stats & Odds

Plenty of Skill Positions Players Could Put Up Gaudy Numbers in the 2024 Los Angeles Rams Stats

Kupp and Pacua Ready For An Encore For Rams in 2024

The offensive coordinators on teams slated to face the Los Angeles Rams during the 2024 season were happy to see that future Hall of Fame defensive lineman Aaron Donald after earning three NFL Defensive of the Year awards.

The Rams were 8-1 as a favorite during the 2023 season, with the Rams covering in six of those games. Los Angeles was 4-2 against the spread as a home favorite and 5-3 ATS at home. The 4-2-1 record versus the spread as the road underdog was also impressive.

When looking at the 2024 Los Angeles Rams stats, it is worth considering that seven of the 10 games after a win landed over the total.

After missing the playoffs 12 seasons in a row, the Rams have qualified for the postseason five times in the last seven years. However, they haven’t won a playoff game since winning the Super Bowl following the 2021 season.

Is There Life After Donald?

The Rams used the first two picks in the 2024 NFL Draft on Florida State defensive linemen as Donald’s departure leaves a huge hole. Defensive end Jared Verse was the 19th overall selection with defensive tackle Braden Fiske going 39th overall as four of the first six picks for the Rams were defensive linemen.

Will Michigan running back Blake Corum make an immediate impact after being picked in the third round? He will provide insurance after Kyren Williams missed five games in 2023.

Second-leading tackler Jordan Fuller is another key loss for the Rams.

Super Bowl Odds: Rams Look To Make Some Postseason Noise

The Rams are three years removed from winning the Super Bowl, but the team looks much different, and that impacts the NFL predictions.

  • NFC West rival San Francisco is coming off a run to the Super Bowl and is favored to make it back-to-back appearances in the Super Bowl. The Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, and Atlanta Falcons are other NFC teams with shorter Super Bowl odds than the Rams.

It could be a bit risky to bet on the Rams to win another Super Bowl.

Conference Odds: Is This The Last Hurrah For Stafford?

The Rams paid a hefty price to acquire Matthew Stafford from the Detroit Lions. The Rams traded quarterback Jared Goff and a pair of first-round picks as well as a third-round selection.

Those picks have helped put Detroit in better position to make a championship run. However, since Stafford helped Los Angeles win a Super Bowl, there are few complaints from the Rams side.

An offense featuring Stafford, 1000-yard rusher Kyren Williams, as well as top receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua could be fun to watch if they are all healthy. The Rams were one of six NFL teams to score more than 400 points a season ago and similar numbers will be needed for the Rams to return to the playoffs and navigate their way through the NFC playoff field.

Division Odds: Vikings Hope To Pull A Surprise or Two

A Week 3 matchup against San Francisco will feature the teams listed by the NFL odds with the best chance of winning the NFC West Division title. The Rams finished 5-1 in the division last season.

One of those wins came against San Francisco but the 49ers rested some key players in that game with their playoff seed already secured.

Seattle only finished a game behind the Rams despite losing twice to the Rams. It took a late field goal for the Rams to win the second meeting with the Seahawks, so that is something to keep in mind. Will the regular-season finale against Seattle have playoff implications?

Regular Season Wins: Vikings Face a Difficult Opening Stretch

Six of the 10 wins for the Rams during the 2023 season finished as one-score games, as did four of the seven losses, so the 2024 season could go in a number of directions.

The Rams 2023 draft class was Second-round pick Steve Avila immediately impacted the offensive line. Kobie Turner and Byron Young finished first and second among the 2023 rookies in sacks while fifth-round pick Nacua was a revelation with 105 catches and 1486 receiving yards. Can be match those numbers in the 2024 Los Angeles Rams stats?

If they can build on their success in 2023, another double-digit win season is a possibility.

The Rams are 3.5-point underdogs according to the NFL spread in the season opener against the Detroit Lions as Stafford could be playing in Detroit for the final time. Two weeks later is the first of two meetings with the 49ers with a showdown with the Green Bay Packers set for Week 5.

The key to going over the RSW projections could come over the next five games with the Rams likely favored to beat the Las Vegas Raiders, the Minnesota Vikings, and the New England Patriots. It will be interesting to see the line when the Rams play at Seattle and Los Angeles could be a home underdog in a Monday Night matchup with Miami.

To Make Playoffs: Rams Will Be In the Mix

Even with the departure of Donald, there is enough talent on both sides of the ball for the Rams to make a run at the playoffs.

The Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, and Atlanta Falcons are among the teams that missed last year’s playoffs that could be in the picture in 2024 and that could impact the playoff chances for the Rams.

The NFL preseason schedule begins with the Rams facing the Dallas Cowboys on August 11.

Side Bets

The -115 odds for Stafford to top 23.5 touchdown passes seems a bit low while the same odds to go over 3900.5 passing yards seem about right when it comes to the 2024 Los Angeles Rams stats.

Take a look at the -110 Moneyline for Nacua to go over 6.5 receiving touchdowns while the -110 odds for Cooper Kupp to land under 950.5 receiving yards is sure to attract plenty of action.

Nine coaches are ahead of Sean McVay (+2200) in the Coach of the Year odd.

Jared Verse is tied for third at +1000 in the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year odds.

It might be wise to steer clear of Stafford’s +2500 NFL MVP odds to be the MVP and Corum at +5000 in the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds is a bit risky as well.

With Kupp back, Nacua might struggle to deliver at +1200 to lead the NFL in receiving yards.
