2024 NFL Playoff Odds: Who Makes the Postseason?
No Surprise as Kansas City, 49ers Biggest Favorites for Playoffs
The NFL regular season is just a few short weeks away, as teams are about to begin their playoff chase. For some teams, the 0-0 record to start the season will be as good as it gets this year. Others are going to wrack-up impressive victory totals, while the majority are going to be within a few games of .500. Whether they end up on the plus side oF .500 or not will determine if they’re home or playing the second week in January. We’ll look at the 2024 NFL playoff odds for all 32 teams here.

The AFC East has three teams favored to make the NFL playoffs, which isn’t a huge surprise. You can make a case the Bills and Dolphins should have lower odds than the Jets, but for the most part, it’s hard to argue with the odds here. The Bills have the lowest Super Bowl odds of the three teams and they appear to be the ones most likely to reach the playoffs.

The Ravens and Bengals are pretty close in the NFL playoff odds, with Baltimore getting a slight nod. The return of Joe Burrow should be a huge factor for the Bengals. Don’t sleep on the Browns, however, as Cleveland has a tough defense and an offense capable of doing enough to win some games. The division games are going to be tough for all four teams, so the non-conference slate will be the difference.

The Texans appear to have taken the torch from Jacksonville in the AFC South. The Colts and Jaguars can contend for the NFL postseason, but both are going to need a break or two along the way to get there. The Titans appear to be outclassed right now, but laying -600 is out of the question.

The Chiefs have the lowest 2024 NFL odds to make the playoffs and that makes perfect sense. Kansas City is probably the top team in football entering the season and they play in a fairly weak conference. There are no other top-tier teams in the division and that’s reflected in the 2024 NFL playoff odds. The Chargers will have to get past one of the AFC East or AFC North teams for a wild card spot and that’s not going to be easy.

The Eagles are fair-sized favorites to win the division and that makes sense. Philadelphia had one of those seasons where little went right, but they were still a decent team. They should resemble their former selves a bit more. The Commanders are a little lower-priced than expected. The jury is still out on this year’s Dallas team. The Cowboys have the potential to look better on paper than they do on the field.

The 2024 NFL playoff odds on the NFC Central are probably among the most unpredictable of any of the eight conferences. Chicago is one team the oddsmakers aren’t entirely sure about. The Bears made some strides last year behind their running game, but that may take a backseat to Caleb Williams and his arm. The Vikings are another team that could surprise. The preseason forecasts are all over the place with the Vikings, with Minnesota predicted to win anywhere between five and 10 games.

The Atlanta Falcons are the favorites to come out of the NFC South, a division which will likely have just one playoff team. It’s possible a second team can sneak in there, but it doesn’t seem likely. The Falcons look to be the best team in the division, although it’s not by a great deal. Either New Orleans or Tampa Bay should be in the division chase until the very end.

- NFC West Bet Bet: Seattle +175 to make playoffs.
The San Francisco 49ers would be one of the NFL best bets to make the playoffs, although the odds are much too high to be laying. You can scratch San Francisco off the wager list. The same can be said for Arizona, which isn’t a terrible team and plays hard but doesn’t appear quite ready for the playoffs yet. Seattle has been overlooked by some people this season and has a better chance at the postseason than their 2024 NFL playoff odds indicate.
